Thought about taking the cover off.
Charged the batteries and tried starting it a couple of times with no success. Looks like a carburetor inspection will take place next week.

I noticed in their commercials there wasn't a single tool, workbench, or anything in their shop except the lifts.

What I want for the Zombie Apocalypse
I know it's not really a B but if it had bullet proof glass this would suffice. Having a system to sanitize water would be handy and the 1,500 mile range on one tank of gas would let you out distance most other vehicles. The $700K price tag would be a little tough along with the 8 mpg but what price can you put on protecting your family from zombies?

With Verizon Wireless I get a maximum of 150k download, slower upload. Supposed to be in a 4G area but the reality is I can only get 3G. Better than dial-up with AT&T which is my only other option here in California.
3G, 4G, etc. Don't really pertain to speed. They are how the data is handled by the carrier. It's still up to the carrier and your location as to what speed you are getting. 4G is better as everything is handled in packets but it can still be slow as heck. It's something the carriers don't like to be real clear about. After all they like to sell the latest and greatest. If it was widely known that the speeds might not be any better in your area who would want to upgrade?

RE: Winterizing and Winter Camping. How do you handle it?
Before I put mine away for the winter I park mine on a slight downgrade toward the passenger front (corner the water tank outlet is on). Open the sink cold faucet and drain the main tank using the pump. Then run the pump for the hot, bathroom sink H/C, and the toilet. Last thing I drain is the hot water tank. Then I blow compressed air through the city water connection through each hot/cold, and the toilet again (open one at a time) and lastly through out through the hot water tank. I then put two gallons of RV antifreeze in the tank and open each in turn with the pump on until I get the pink stuff out of each. Then drain anything left in all the tanks.

I don't see where either would make much of a difference.
I'm looking for a 19" with a DVD player built into the top or left side that will operate on 12V. I don't want to have to use the inverter.

The B died when I was taking it out for it's weekly exercise this morning. Fortunately I was just about home and close to the driveway and was able to coast in. How often does that happen?
I can start it and it runs fine for about 30 seconds then dies again. Hopefully just something minor like the fuel filter (which is a PIA to get to in this).
Will get it into the shop tomorrow and hopefully it will be ready for the next trip next Thursday.
Update: I replaced the fuel filter myself and it seem to run better but I could blow air through the old one so I still think that wasn't the problem. Unfortunately the problem has disappeared (for now) and it looks like the filter has been replaced so many times I can't get the fuel line to tighten properly so it will go in tomorrow anyway to have that section of line replaced.

That toilet paper holder will be fine unless the RV moves (might tend to unroll) or you use the shower. I use velcro straps to wrap around the paper towels in the kitchen area. Keeps them from unwinding when the camper is going down the road when a window is open.

Just got it back from the garage. New front brakes, replaced all the older rubber in the steering and front end, lubed, alignment, repacked the rear Diff., new muffler, and New York State inspection. Still got two or three more trips planned for this year before parking it for the winter.

If your not going to pull anything I would consider a Ford Transit van. They come both with seats and without like a cargo van. I looked at them but I have to pull a small trailer with canoes/kayaks for camping or a small enclosed trailer when doing shows so I needed something with a larger engine. The DW insisted we get something she could at least stand up in. Our old Ford B was the perfect fit for us.

Probably would work pretty well mounted inside on the celling somewhere as long as it's above any metal sides. I find radio reception inside my B improves as long as the antenna is above the metal sides of the van. I don't think a fiberglass roof is much thicker than a PVC pipe.
When I installed a in-dash AM/FM/MP3 player in the back I looked into all sorts of outside antennas first and tried a couple. I found a 3 foot wire run in the top inside of the upper cabinets worked just as well for FM as the commercial antennas mounted outside. No holes, no fuss, saved $15-$25.

Gassed it up. Hooking the canoe/kayak trailer up tomorrow and loading it for a week of camping in the Catskills. Will be doing some hiking and canoing with my wife and dog. Suppose to be perfect weather the whole time. mid 70s day/mid 50s night. (My wife asked me what I wanted to do for my 60th).

Going to install a roof vent over the winter but since money is short right now I rigged up a fan for the upper window in the old B. I cut a piece of Plexiglas and mounted a standard 12V DC equipment fan to it. The fan sits perfectly in the glass track and with the window shut against it it stays in place fine. I put a standard accessory plug with a switch on it to plug into the 12V plug on the wall next to the window. It doesn't move as much air as a roof fan but it draws a lot less current and it's quiet. It will take a few minutes longer to exhaust the hot air (moves 75 CFM) but for under $20 I can live with that until I can shell out the $200 or so for the roof vent and install it over the winter.

They do make magnetic strip you can cut to length and sew into the entire edge of a screen. It comes on 10' and 25' rolls either a half or inch wide. It's flexible, can be rolled up when storing the screen, and won't harm the paint. Amazon sells it by the roll. Costs $11-$12 per roll. I'm planning on using it for my side windows.
AS for screen, I would go with the nylon they have now thats dog and cat proof. I replaced our sliding door screen 4 years ago with it and the cats climb up it and don't leave a single mark or rip. It's also flexible and can be rolled up.
