RE: Chevy Tahoe for TV?
We towed our Keystone Bullet 282bhs which is right about 6.7K loaded for a weekend camping trip with our 04 Yukon for one season. I won't do it again and ended up buying an 05 Dodge 2500 to tow with. Power with the Yukon was obviously an issue in the hills, as ours had the 4.8 in front of a 3.73 rear end. I could actually live with the relative lack of power as I don't mind going slow but the bigger concern was just overall control. The Yukon/Tahoe is just too soft for me to feel comfortable with 30 feet and 7,000 pounds of trailer behind it. Factor in downhill curves or any significant sidewinds and "planted" is the last word I would have used.
RE: video of travel trailer loosing it
Per the link, the TV was an Excursion. It's not a long bed crew cab dually, but I'd imagine most would consider an Excursion a reasonably capable TV. I sincerely hope the lady pulls through.
