RE: Please put our Chubby on your prayer list. UPDATE

There must be something in the dog's environment that is causing these seizures. This is the third one I've heard about this week, a 3 year old standard poodle, a 5 year old german pointer and now your dog. Hope this is his first and last one and he lives to a grand old age and the root cause is discovered.

RE: AC problem

We bought the new AC and husband is installing it this morning. I was under the impression that when you ordered an A/C, it was bought in two pieces: the outside unit and the inside unit. We needed to replace the outside unit which is what I ordered. My husband discovered that the new unit was missing the circuit board. Here is a picture of the old unit and the space where he removed the old board to put inside the new outside unit:

http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n111/paphil/P10104571320x990.jpg height=350 width=650
I guess we will find out shortly whether it was the circuit board or freon leak.
If it is the circuit board I want to know why that isn't part of the outside unit.

RE: Gracie problem

I called the vet and took her back in today. They did an enema to clean her out and another xray to make sure that took care of the problem. We are hoping it was a one time thing since she has never had this problem before. If it happens again, then she will go to a specialist. At least I will get some sleep tonight!

RE: A problem I never knew existed.

I saw on there that someone had given a RV Park a bad review because they saw a black snake...

Gracie problem

Gracie is almost 12 yo and about 16 pounds. Sunday evening a week ago I noticed she was having problems going to #2. Instead of stopping and doing her business, she was walking and popping out very hard small turds. So Monday and Tuesday, I put her on canned food only with some pumpkin mixed in. Wednesday, no improvement so I took her to the vet. They took x-rays to make sure there was no obstruction and put her on lactulose every 8 hours and canned food only. Fast forward to Saturday, took her back to the vet because there was no improvement. Told to increase the dosage of lactulose and feed her baby food mixed with water. Now today, still no improvement. She is still going to the bathroom while walking but only very small soft pieces and usually only two or three on each walk morning and night. Other than the bathroom problem, she is showing no symptoms. Will run around and play and begging for food constantly. I'm calling the vet again this morning but was wondering if anyone had a dog with the problem and has any advice. I have spent a week now trying to resolve this issue and we are both exhausted.

RE: First RV purchase - worth the cost for upgraded features?

Our first camper was 19 feet without a slide because we were worried about towing. Didn't take four months to realize that it was too small. Bought a 24 foot camper with slide. Had it for three years but realized we still needed something different. Bought 30 foot with rear living and front bedroom. This works much better for traveling. My husband does most of the driving when we are on trips and likes to go to bed early. With the front bedroom he has a quiet and dark room to sleep while I'm still up getting things ready for the next day or taking the dogs out for exercise. This size also works well for state parks. Also since you mentioned you want to use state parks, the size of your tanks should also be a consideration.

RE: AC problem

I heard back from Coleman. The AC is 2-1/2 years old. Coleman said that if it had failed within 2 years, they would have covered the replacement. Since it is 6 months past warrenty then the failure was caused by vibration and not covered. Our AC guy said since this unit has the new type freon he is not comfortable with putting in a valve for recharging. I guess the new style freon operates under a higher pressure than the old. I'm going to call a RV place today to see what they recommend - recharging or replacing.

RE: AC problem

Ok folks...the technician is my husband. He does not have gauge to check amp draw from the compressor but we can tell you that whether it is on heat pump or ac it blows ambient air temperature. While on ac, he unplugged one of the wires going to the reversing valve and we still had ambient air temperature. The compressor is running.

RE: AC problem

After troubleshooting today we have determined that it needs freon. Very disappointing on a unit that is barely 2-1/2 years old. Any one have any luck getting coleman to replace their unit?

AC problem

Roof top coleman AC/heat pump is blowing out hot air instead of cold. Are there a series of troubleshooting procedures that we could use to figure out what needs to be replaced? Unfoturnately neither of us know anything about AC's.
thanks,

RE: Purchasing a New TT - What is "Normally" Included

You don't need any of the cheap accessories they may throw in with the deal - go buy your own. What you do want is at least one battery and full propane tanks.
