RE: Satellite Internet

Had Hughes satellite internet for several years because of job requirements. Worked fine as long as there were no tree's blocking the view. Got a Verizon MiFi (now jetpack) when it became available. Unless I really needed to get an internet connection in the middle of nowhere I would never go back to satellite. As stated above you need additional equipment and the cost is high.

RE: Tire Replacement on Class A Goodyear or Michelin

LOTS of discussion on Goodyear vs Michelin. I had the Goodyear G670 and was very disappointed - many had excellent luck. Suggest looking at the threads. My new tires are Michelin purchased through the FMCA program.

RE: south of the border,sc

We have stayed at South of the Boarder a few times with our Grandson. Worked out very well. I do agree that the beaches are a FAR better choice if you are staying for a few days but for an overnight stop close to the interstate I find it hard to beat South of the Boarder.

RE: Cummins fault code 328 and 329

Thanks Roger. Had you just replaced your fuel filter when your coach acted up or was this a new one just installed? My filter has been on through about 5 fill ups.

Cummins fault code 328 and 329

Good news is I made it to the RV park, bad news is that about 4 times in the last 5 miles the engine went into limp mode then started running fine. When "limping" noticed black/grey smoke out the tail pipe, went away when the engine started running properly. So far I have only been able to pull the fault codes: have 4 counts of fault 328 (fuel pumping element #2 rear) and 16 counts of fault 329 (fuel system leakage error). Has anybody had a similar issue? Any suggestions on how best to trouble shoot? Willing to get Cummins to look at it but would like do do any reasonable checks first. Engine is ISC 350HP with CAPS 2002 vintage about 100K miles.

RE: Diesel Pusher Questions

As stated above it rare not to be able to find a "name" repair shop. We had a few "issues" on the road and Coachnet was able to find a local shop to get us back on the road quickly. Maybe not everybody's experience but worked VERY well for us.

RE: Inverter install

This model has a 30 amp pass thru. Its an inverter/charger so it may be "overkill" for this application.

RE: Residential Refer

JimGo and KDK.... I am also looking at replacing my NDR1292. What Samsung model did you use as a replacement? I am having difficulty finding a replacement as short as the Dometic unit and want to do as little cabinet remodeling as possible.

RE: Intellitec Energy Management System

This is from my manual (50 amp Intellitec) VII. Remote Display out or strange characters are displayed. Check wiring between J5 on EMS Control Module and Display Panel. Pin Function Voltage 1 Power 12V 2 Data Ground 3 Ground Ground 4 Select Line Ground, 12V when pressed Wiring 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 Both the EMS Control Module and Display Panel have internal protection. Shorts or miswiring should not cause the units to fail. VIII. Remote Display does not indicate "GEN SET" service source when generator is running. Check wiring between generator run light circuit and J2 pin 2 on EMS Control Module. J2 pin 2 should measure +12Vdc or greater when generator is running and 0 Vdc otherwise. VIX. Remote Display does not indicate "50 AMP" service source when 50 Amp 240 VAC shore power is connected. Check to make sure that jumpers are present between any LINE 1 breaker and J6 terminal 3, and any LINE 2 breaker and J6 terminal 1. Also check that the "NEUTRAL" jumper is in place, between J6 terminal 5 and a position on the NEUTRAL block. With "50 Amp" service available the voltage between J6-3 and J6-1 should measure 240 VAC. With any other source the voltage between J6-3 and J6-1 should measure 0 VAC. In addition, the voltage measured between J6-3 and J6-5 should be 120 VAC and the voltage measured between J6-1 and J6-5 should be 120 VAC. I have the manual. Can email it to you if you think it would help.

Intellitec MOBAC Module question

Does anybody have any experience with this unit? I need to replace my Big Boy battery relay and after a long discussion with Intellitec they suggested switching to this unit. It combines the Big Boy isolator and both main and aux battery disconnects into one unit, rated 200 amps each. Part number is 00-01008-000. The Big Boy relay costs about $150 but the MOBAC unit will run about $400. Since this is my second failed Bog Boy relay I would like to try something else. Any help will be appreciated. Currently both my main and aux battery disconnects are in the Battery Control Center (mini diesel p/n 00-01008-000).

RE: Place to buy 22.5 tires in Dallas Tx or Okalahoma city?

Go to the Micheline site ( here ) and put in the zip code for either area. If you go with the Michelin's dont forget the FMCA program

RE: Tires, 29580r22.5/16 ply

Just went through the same scenario. Went with the Michelin ZXA3+ LRH to replace Goodyear's G670RV. My experience with the Goodyear tire was bad at best, cant say enough bad about them. Coach came with Michelin's and after a lot of research decided to go back to them. FMCA discount help considerably. JMO On edit - the Michelin's were made in Canada.

RE: water pump controller

The service manual for the switch is: P/N 53-00145-000 Rev. A 041405 I think it is easier to understand then the pump manual. It's only 4 pages.
