RE: Extend-A-stay

Not to hijack this thread but this reminds me of my last use of my Extend A Stay. We were using it to dry camp for heat, avoiding having to move rig to fill up. When I unhooked 20lb.tank and was driving home, I smelled the propane. I had to unhook the whole thing and I've been unable to see what went wrong. Isn't there a check valve to stop it from leaking or a cap to cap it off when removing just the hose? Thanx

RE: 2001 National Tropical????

Love our Nat. Dolphin. Check out the National group forum on Yahoo. Great folks there and lots of files including the original catalogs and elec/plumb diagrams. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/NationalRV/ or this link for more NRV info. https://sites.google.com/site/nationalrecreationalvehicles/ Would definitely buy NRV again, great rig. RE: Ready Brute Elite or Ready Brake on 2013 Honda CRV

Which baseplate are you going with?? I chose BlueOx which is great but the installers had to do a little cutting. Boy I was freaked out when I walked in to see my 3 week old car looking like it was in a wreck with the whole façade having to be taken off.

RE: Tow Bars: Roadmaster vs Blue Ox vs Demco vs NSA Ready Brake

BTW - Blue Ox is selling a surge brake hitch mount system to compete with NSAs Readybrake. From BlueOx's website: The Power of Momentum The simplest braking system we offer, Autostop uses the forward momentum of your towed vehicle to effect a smooth quick stop, reducing braking distances as much as 30 percent. Autostop can be installed without modification to your RV or towed vehicle, so it won't add wear and tear on your RV's brakes. It's mechanical design allows the braking system to be easily transferred to another vehicle should you happen to trader your car or coach. Part Number - BX88100 No tapping into existing brake and air locks Rated for vehicles weighing up to 7500 pounds 2" receiver-hitch universal AutoStop works with any style receiver mounted Tow Bar IMO, they replicated NSA's product because it is a great, simple system. So... why not go with the original??

RE: How to Protect toad from road debris

I'll chime in here late to say that I road with a bra on my 11 CRV for two seasons(about 9k miles) and I've found a fine line along the hood where the bra top edge flaps in the breeze and scuffed up the finish. I will try not using anything but my rig wide mud flap installed after I bought it. YMMV

RE: Dead Battery-Honda CRV

Had battery issues until I installed the charge wire. No problems since.

RE: Swap out Additional LP Tank?

@ 4 gallons a day maybe cheaper to add some insulation somehow? Well, the tank only holds 80%, stove top, hot water and refer doesn't help. Be well.

RE: Swap out Additional LP Tank?

Thanks for the replies. It gets down into the 40's. Getting a local company to fill when the 40gal. gets low would be tricky to make sure they were there in time and not killing me on price. Changing out 20's or another 40 would be ideal for me but I will ck. into the extend-a-stay.

Swap out Additional LP Tank?

Hi, I use my RV for six weeks during the fall and need to use the heater quite a bit. Last year I had to break down every 10 days and drive to the RV store to refill my onboard tank. So why can't I have a tank that I can disconnect and swap out? Regulator? Thanks
