RE: New Batteries on Travel Trailer

Can I overcharge the batteries if they are new and fully charged then connected to electric when camping?

RE: New Batteries on Travel Trailer

The batteries look exactly alike new and old and the + and - look the same. We bought the same brand and voltage 12V as the old batteries.

RE: New Batteries on Travel Trailer

Thanks so much for the replies, I will keep them in Parallel and as for the converter I really don't know what kind. Our trailer is a 2007 and we bought it new. This is the first time we have replaced the batteries because we don't dry camp and have always used electric at the campgrounds. I was concerned in case of an emergency so we finally replaced them which both had 0 amps when checked. As for winter storage I was told to just disconnect the batteries when the trailer is put away. Can the batteries be overcharged if plugged into electric when they are new and fully charged? P.S. We bought 12V batteries

New Batteries on Travel Trailer

Hi, I just purchased new batteries for my Travel Trailer and need to know if I should attach them by Series or Parallel? According to my photos before I disconnected them , they were parallel but lately I am reading that alot of people have them Series. Also do I keep them connected when hooked up to electric or disconnect them when I am connected to electric. We are making a trip this week and I always had the batteries connected when we camped and plugged in but I wonder if that was right or not. We bought 12V batteries. Thanks for any help!

RE: Driving with refrigerator on

Bid-Time, snide remarks are not appreciated. By the way I can drive in any weather CA can dish out.

RE: Driving with refrigerator on

We are going to have the propane on as all of you nice Rv people are suggesting. Thank you so much!

RE: Driving with refrigerator on

My propane tanks are only about 3 feet from our truck gas tank. Is it safe to have propane that close to the gas tank?

RE: Driving with refrigerator on

Some people told us we would be ok just hooked into the electric on our truck but I have been reading where others run their propane. I am a little nervous running propane while driving and don't want to run out of propane either.

RE: Driving with refrigerator on

We have a 2007 Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer that was bought new and we only use it 3X a year. It is a Dometic refrigerator with freezer.

Driving with refrigerator on

Hi, We are making a 7 hour drive today to Yosemite, we have always just kept our refrigerator to on and plugged into our truck for shorter trips. Do we need to turn the propane on to keep the refrigerator going for this long trip or can we just keep it working from our vehicle? Thanks!

RE: Bringing dog to Yosemite with the family/where to go?

We have air conditioning in our camper and the tv is always left on when we go anywhere. The campsite said as long as we don't go too far away. Then we can leave the dog in the camper. We normally take the dog with us on vacation as he really is very good. But he is a barker when it comes to things on wheels. I have a stroller that I put him in and he never barks when moving so we will be doing alot of walking to keep him quiet. Thanks for the tips!

Bringing dog to Yosemite with the family/where to go?

Hi, we are going to Yosemite on Thursday for the first time and we are bringing our dog. The campground said we cannot leave the dog anywhere and must take it everywhere. Has anyone ever brought their dog to Yosemite and is there any place we cannot go with the dog.I know we need to stay on the paved paths in the park but can we take the dog to other places or do we need to stay in the car with the dog? Thanks!

RE: Rv camping outside of Yosemite

We were going to try Bass Lake as that is where my friends stay but Bass Lake is closed and they didn't know when it would open again. Has anyone ever stay at Yosemite Pines?

Campgrounds with RV's near Yosemite Park

Hi, I am looking for an RV campground near Yosemite Park and don't even know where to start. We don't want to be inside the park as we will be traveling with our dog and don't want to have trouble with animals inside the park. Thanks!

RE: Rv camping outside of Yosemite

We do not want to stay inside the park due to animal issues and we have a dog so for safety reasons we would like to stay outside of the park.
