Tire covers for a TT

:)Hi, We had out TT tires covered with canvas covers but the heat and sun torn them. Should we purchase new canvas covers (breathable) or should we invest in vinyl covers. Our TT is stored in an outdoor storage on gravel and is used about 5-6 times a year. Thanks!

RE: Tire Covers

Thanks all, I guess I better start looking for the vinyl covers instead of the canvas.

We just purchased 2 new batteries for the trailer so that is something to start, now to start pricing the generators for the best deal will probably take time. Any suggestions of places besides Cabelas that we should start looking for the generator?

Thank you RoyB, That makes perfect sense to me. Is a 3000-4000 generator enough for 1 weeks worth of power in the camper?

Is the Generator to be used when your battery no longer has power or before your battery dies?

How strong of a generator do I need if there is an emergency and have to stay in my camper? I have a 2007 Keystone Springdale and need it for lights and refrigerator.

Hello, I will be looking for a generator shortly as an energy source for my Travel trailer incase we have an emergency. What are some good generators to look at and are they propane or gasoline? I can't spend $1000 so please let me know where I can find reasonable ones if you can. Thank You!

Tire Covers

Hi, Can you please tell me what the best tire covers are for a Travel Trailer? I had the material canvas ones but they tore after a few months and I need good ones that will protect the tires from the hot summer heat yet let the tires breathe so they don't go bad. Please advise, your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Can I overcharge the batteries if they are new and fully charged then connected to electric when camping?

RE: New Batteries on Travel Trailer

The batteries look exactly alike new and old and the + and - look the same. We bought the same brand and voltage 12V as the old batteries.

RE: New Batteries on Travel Trailer

Thanks so much for the replies, I will keep them in Parallel and as for the converter I really don't know what kind. Our trailer is a 2007 and we bought it new. This is the first time we have replaced the batteries because we don't dry camp and have always used electric at the campgrounds. I was concerned in case of an emergency so we finally replaced them which both had 0 amps when checked. As for winter storage I was told to just disconnect the batteries when the trailer is put away. Can the batteries be overcharged if plugged into electric when they are new and fully charged? P.S. We bought 12V batteries

New Batteries on Travel Trailer

Hi, I just purchased new batteries for my Travel Trailer and need to know if I should attach them by Series or Parallel? According to my photos before I disconnected them , they were parallel but lately I am reading that alot of people have them Series. Also do I keep them connected when hooked up to electric or disconnect them when I am connected to electric. We are making a trip this week and I always had the batteries connected when we camped and plugged in but I wonder if that was right or not. We bought 12V batteries. Thanks for any help!
