RE: starting engine while plugged in to short power

Winnebago actually recommends the engine running when extending and retracting the slides on my 2013 40U Journey. Because of the power requirements.

RE: Residential type refrigerator

IMHO!!! I think you can buy at least 3 residential fridge, to on RV fridge! If you travel just 6-7 hrs a day the fridge will probably be ok with out power, unless traveling in the desert. We have had both . The residential gets my vote!!M

Rear camera

We have a 2013 Winnebago, Journey 40U. 21 K miles. Full timing for 4 yrs. We are experiencing a intermittent problem with the rear camera. Some mornings when we start, the rear camera says. "No Video Detected". Right and left cameras work fine. After a time on the road it will come on and stay on. Does not even flicker. The next time we start it will come on. Had it cked at the factory last sept. they could not find a issue. Course when they started it over the course of several days it worked. The factory is now booking appointments the last of sept. Guess we will have to wait till it quits for good. Thank you for the vent!!

RE: Satellite help

IMHO. the TRI pod is a big PIA. We have the traveler on the nose of the MH. Works great if there are no trees off to the SW. After tha I would go to the "Winguard Tailgater"!
