RE: Dish for my RV

We are at the end of our third year FULLTIMING. We have used the Winguard traveller and the Caryout. Both work fine, like the traveler for the ease of setup. Just call dishnetwork when we arrive ar a new site and they change th service to the local Chanel's.

RE: Des Moines , Iowa recommendations?

There is a park in Altoona, just N. of I-80 and I-35 first exit and to the east. There may be a problem, that some parks in that area don't open till April 1.

RE: Dodge Ram Transmission Questions

Always go for the biggest and best. In the long runthe4:10 gears will be best. You may upgrade to a bigger fiver before you get another hauler. IMHO.

RE: Fulltiming in a 5'ver - Manufacturers

There are also ,Excel,DRV ( Mobile Suites) and NU Wa. The residential fridge is almost a must. With a RV fridge. You have to defrost every 2-3 weeks. Al depends on the humidity an ice usage. Another issue with these is weight. Almost need a one ton DRW. Or larger. IMHO

RE: A change is coming..

A one ton Dooley May not be large enough for that model. You can pull it but stopping and carrying it may be a problem! IMHO!!

RE: Looking at new Gasser

We've been looking at a new Winnebago Adventurer 38Q. Love the floor plan and features. Seems less expensive to operate due to lower maintenance costs. Currently have '05 DP with Cummins ISB. Pretty much have a handle of fuel/maintenance costs/trade-offs. Questions are: Will I miss the air bags? Why? Will the brakes need replacing more often? Will the lower torque be noticible? What advantages do a fiberglass roof have over TPO or EPDM? With out airbags you will get a lot of "rock and roll"! Especially around curves.

RE: Medications

I am being told that ins. Will not pay for a PERSONAL INR. monitor. Some where N. of 2K. Plus my cardiologist wants to monitor It himself. I hav a titanium mitral valve and a pace maker. Soon be 9 years. I think I can do as good a job as I know how I reCt to the changes. My therapeutic level is between 3-4! THANKYOU good luck.

RE: Out west trip questions

Make reservations as far ahead as possible! National parks questionable, but there are always parks for big rigs. We were thru there in a 38' fiver with no problems. After Labor Day it is easier to find spots. I don't think 2 months is long enough? Hwy 2 is good. Above all take your time and don't stress.
