AC ODOR

When we run the heat pump we are getting a musty odor. Have seen this discussed before. Was wondering if a 50-50 mix of bleach and water sprayedon the cores would be a solution, or use a vinegar solution. Was wondering what the issues would be using either of these. This a 2013 Winnebago journey. Coleman ac's.thanks in advance!

RE: How far to travel in one day?

No matter what, we average righ at 50 miles per hour. From point A to B, this is how we figure it. Try to do no more than 7 hrs a day. Every other or third day.course we have no place we really need to be.

RE: Selling house to full time - thoughts

Again AC in AZ. In a RV. Can get expensive and uncomfortable and noisy. Might ck. Into a " Park Model" , or a apt. Especially if you are not ready to travel. 34' might be a bit small for full timing. Up keep and repairs on a RV is no small thing. Most RV dealers want you to bring into the dealership for repairs. Especially under warranty. We are in a 40' MH. And full time. Also sold the house Five years ago when I retired. Lots to think about.

RE: Cataracts

Had both eyes done 6-7 years ago. Opted for the standard lens. Didn't wear glasses for about 6 months. Now for reading only. Didn't feel the need to She'll out between 2-3K per eye for upgrades.

RE: I need a good disposable glove solution for dumping

I will use gloves more for filling with diesel, than dumping the tanks. Farmed for many years, livestock, fertilizer, chemicals, never used gloves. Other than a pair of well used leathe work gloves. My hands have been places that most can ever imagine! No gloves. Rinsed off with a water hose, then drank out of it. Still kicking.

RE: Lippert Schwintek slide out system

LUBRICATION-LUBRICATION!! Also do not stop the slide until it is all the way in or out. No stopping in between. On our bedroom there was some plastic from shipping that covered the carpet got hung up. The voltage I check is also good. Being level before extending or retracting. Just had to replace ours in our 2013 WinnebagoMH Journey. 40u.

RE: Quality control issues-curiosity

Toured the NU Wa plant in Chanute ,Ks in 2013. Bought the top of the line "Champayne" model. Liked the tour but the fiver was less than perfect. Both motors on the bed room slide, motor on the awning, and the thermostat on the AC/Furnace all within 6'mos. Then thee was the issue of the leveling jacks. Could not read the monitor / control panel (LED) unles it was dark.had to take back to Chanute for all warranty repairs. Have the Winnebago now ( see. Sig.) not perfect by no means. Have 30,000 Mi on it. 10,000 this year. Last trip had on problems.didn't even get the gorilla glue or the drill out . 4000 Mi. To DC AND BACK. Course does a rock in the front windshield count. Ins. Replaced . Nothing out of my pocket. Done. Hate to say any thing , wait till next trip??? Learning curve!!!

RE: electric for a electric heater

We use two dual stage oscillating tower heaters. 750/1500 watt electric heaters, plus the fireplace. The propane gas furnacess are loud and costly to run They keep the 40' MH quite comfortable. No extra cost for us, as electric is included in the price.
