RE: 30 ft- one roof air sufficient?

NO,NO,and NO! One AC will not work! Especially south of I-80! Maybe I-90! Especially this summer.it has been hot clear into MT. I would not accept any thing less than 50 amp and two, airs. We have three 13.5's and here in N. TX. They are borderline. 40' Winnebago 40U . IMHO.

RE: RGV RV Parks

Have spent the last five winters on South Padre Island.at the KOA. Jan, Feb, and March. You get wha you pay for. Some winters are better than outhers. Park is clean and well run. Can be noises the week of spring break. Other than that , traffic is at a minimum. Walk into restaurants and bars with out a wail. Have a variety top end and down. Something for every one. Rates vary on how long you stay. Need to check it out.

RE: get out of the heat

Will be heading to Ennis, Mt. As soon we get our passenger side slide fixed. Hopefully around the sixth or seventh of July. Will be our fourth year. Small town, nice amp ground on the north side off 287.

RE: Quietest A/C

There are three different exhaust fan blades. A,B, and D. D being the latest. Still there is some vibration. Had to ck the mounting bracke bolts. Some were not as tight as others. Tried not to over tighten, just snug them up. Am still not completely happy. Have made several trips to the roof.

RE: Quietest A/C

Have three 13.5's on 13 journey Winnebago MH. COLEMANS.. Would not be my first choice. Replaced the exhaust blades three time and still quite noisy. Not sure about the rest ! I would do some research.

RE: Winnebago - Defective and Deceptive

Sorry for your experience. I have had nothing but positive response at the factory. They fixed several things last year on the good will program. Maybe call the factory and make a appointment. Usually 6-8 weeks out. Good luck. 2013 journey 40U

When we run the heat pump we are getting a musty odor. Have seen this discussed before. Was wondering if a 50-50 mix of bleach and water sprayedon the cores would be a solution, or use a vinegar solution. Was wondering what the issues would be using either of these. This a 2013 Winnebago journey. Coleman ac's.thanks in advance!

RE: How far to travel in one day?

No matter what, we average righ at 50 miles per hour. From point A to B, this is how we figure it. Try to do no more than 7 hrs a day. Every other or third day.course we have no place we really need to be.

RE: Selling house to full time - thoughts

Again AC in AZ. In a RV. Can get expensive and uncomfortable and noisy. Might ck. Into a " Park Model" , or a apt. Especially if you are not ready to travel. 34' might be a bit small for full timing. Up keep and repairs on a RV is no small thing. Most RV dealers want you to bring into the dealership for repairs. Especially under warranty. We are in a 40' MH. And full time. Also sold the house Five years ago when I retired. Lots to think about.

RE: Cataracts

Had both eyes done 6-7 years ago. Opted for the standard lens. Didn't wear glasses for about 6 months. Now for reading only. Didn't feel the need to She'll out between 2-3K per eye for upgrades.

RE: I need a good disposable glove solution for dumping

I will use gloves more for filling with diesel, than dumping the tanks. Farmed for many years, livestock, fertilizer, chemicals, never used gloves. Other than a pair of well used leathe work gloves. My hands have been places that most can ever imagine! No gloves. Rinsed off with a water hose, then drank out of it. Still kicking.

RE: Safety in the RGV

This is our fifth winter at the KOA SPI. Never had a problem. Was to the new Walmart yesterday , Saw no guards. . Never had a problem even during spring break. Tables, chairs, grills signs sitting out 24/7, never lost a thing!
