RE: Damon Challenger water pump question

Fresh water tank has water? Yes
Do you fill fresh water tank via gravity fill port OR do you fill via a 'water panel' in compartment? Gravity Fill
Water in tank.....
IF you have the water panel.......check that valving is not lined up to fill. N/A
If it is pump will just round-robin water from tank back thru valve to tank I'm not sure what you mean
The other things to check are cracked fittings on suction side of pump, the bowl with filter on suction side and suction line.....any leaks/cracks will just draw air into pump. I checked for water in the compartment where the pump is located. No water. I also cleaned the filter for the water pump.
Thanks for the suggestions. I cant help but feel there is a shut off somewhere for the pump. It pumps air through the lines but not water. I just cant find it. When hooked up to my hose (city water) everything works as it should.

Damon Challenger water pump question

Hello.
We have a new to us 2010 Damon Challenger 36 footer with the bath and a half. Ive been messing around with the rig today and cant get the water pump to work. It turns on, when I open a faucet air comes out, when the air is purged from the faucet no water is coming out. Is there a valve that needs to be turned on by the pump itself? If so I cant seem to find it. Ive been looking for over an hour now at the pump and everywhere else and cant seem to find it.
Thanks

Wanting to tow 2010 JKU Rubicon, need guidance

I've been researching different towing products to tow our 2010 Jeep Wrangler unlimited Rubicon behind our new to us 2010 Damon Challenger 36' on a Ford chassis. I went to the Camping World website and priced the things I think I need out at about $2200.00 without installation. I then read alot of threads here and it seems I can get buy much cheaper with different products.
I don't want to cheap out on parts, safety is paramount, I just want to pick your brains on what you all use and maybe you can make some suggestions on what I need. If I need to pay 2200 bucks so be it, I just don't want to get ripped off or buy something(s) I don't need.
Thanks

RE: charging question for Damon Challenger

Very easy to tell:
With a digital voltmeter, check positive to negative of chassis and then of house battery bank. If chassis battery is 13.0+ VDC (as should be the house battery) it IS being charged. If not, NO.
Thanks for the quick reply!

charging question for Damon Challenger

With our Ford powered 2010 Damon Challenger 368 plugged into shore power does it charge the chassis battery? I know it charges the house batteries.
Thanks

RE: 2010 Damon Challenger CO alarm question

Thanks for help. Quick update, I closed all the windows and the door last night and cranked on the gennie for almost 3 hours. Went outside around 11/p and no alarm. Im thinking it was caused by a low battery.

2010 Damon Challenger CO alarm question

Hello everyone. I have a big question. We just traded in a 99 Georgie Boy Pursuit 2905 for a 2010 Damon Challenger 368 and brought it home 2 weekends ago. We love the new rig. Anyway, we didn't purchase the proper adapter to charge it at home so it's been sitting for the past 2 weekends. (I've been working alot and the wife has been in and out of it prepping it for our first trip). Anyway I got home from work and went out to grab the manuals to read up a bit and the CO detector was alarming with the coach off and not plugged in. I thought it may have something to do with the batteries discharging so I fired up the gennie and it continued for about 15 minutes or so. After the 15 minutes the alarm stopped and the indicator went from red to green. Thinking back I had the entry door open while I was trying to figure out what was going off so I'm not sure if we have a leak somewhere or not. My question is is that normal for the alarm to alert when the battery is going dead?
Thanks
Bob

Question about Direct and multiple TVs

I brought home a new to me 2010 Damon Challenger 368 this morning. I worked out a deal for an in motion satellite system be installed and hooked up before I brought it home. I have one direct receiver and three TVs. Can I watch seperate programs on all three sets? Also, once the Satellite dish finds the satellite should I turn off the power to the dish?
Thanks

Thinking of upgrading

Looking at a 2010 Thor Challenger 36 foot class A motor home with 11000 miles, full wall slide as well a a bedroom slide. Built on a Ford V-10 chasis. We currently have a 99 Georgie boy 30 footer with no slides on the Ford chasis. We took it for a ride and really love the unit. We've been looking to upgrade for a few seasons and like this floor plan and the how clean the coach is. Any expereince with this rig? Got the salesman to a good price on the Thor and a good trade in price on our rig too.
Thanks,
Bob
