RE: Necessity of a spare?

Some Motor Homes doesn't have room for a spare. I have a Tire only in my basement I went and bought the cheapest tire I could find. I have had to use it one time. It will save time if the service provider doesn't need to look for a tire. Roy

RE: Leak at rear bed room slide

the slide is in when it rains no water, but if I extend it out and bring it back in I get water at the bottom right hand corner, yes I have a slide topper, I gave it a good look today on the outside looks like the caulk is missing about 6 inches at the bottom, of the slide on the same corner where the leak is, I hope that is it. Thanks Roy

RE: Leak at rear bed room slide

We just had a hard rain for about 30 minutes, when out to check the leak on the slide, the slide does not leak unless I extend the slide then when I bring it back in is when it leaks at the bottom cannot see where any water has run down the side, going to get my son to help me and see what we can find when it warms up. Would like to thank you all for the suggestions Roy

Leak at rear bed room slide

I posted on here about a month ago about my leak. A forum member suggested raising one side of the MH which I did and it stopped the leak. I went in a minute ago to check it out since we have had some rain, it was not wet but when I moved the slide out then back in it was wet where it was before Now this is not clear water it is a brown looking color like a rot wood or rust color, also as I stated it looked like the water was coming from the inside of the slide (the enclosed section) it is on the front right hand corner it you are standing at the foot of the bed. Planning on taking it in to a service center as soon as it warms up a bit. Does any one have any suggestions as to where the leak is coming from. Want to put up for sale but every time I get ready something else pops up. Sorry about long thread. Thanks Roy

Rusty, Greasy streaks running down the side

This just started, it is coming below the basement doors looks like maybe coming from the hinges on the door, does any one have any idea if it is coming from the hinges, if it is how do I correct it. Thanks Roy

water Leak

I have a leak at the rear bed room slide, it is leaking at the right bottom corner if you are standing at the foot of the bed. I went out a few minutes ago to see if I could tell where it is coming in at as it is raining now. There is no water on top of the slide that I can tell at the bottom corner I can feel water feel's like it is coming out where the metal piece at the bottom connects the side and the bottom of the slide a strip that goes from front to back. I cannot feel any water running down the side either. I just got this back from a service center told them to check the seal they said it was ok, I did not take it in for the leak this occurred after. Can't do to much now due to the rain, will get on top after it quits. thanks for all replies. Merry X-Mas Be safe Roy

RE: ABS Light

I didn't have any luck with the ABS light, the guy at the truck center said you need to pull the wheel off to get to it, I don't think he wanted to fool with it, if it had of been a Freightliner chassis probably would have been fixed. Can any one tell me where the sensor is, I am limited to any repairs due to my Disability but if it is somewhere where I can reach it by being on a creeper I will give a try, I live in a place where repairs to a MH is none existing. Thanks Roy

ABS Light

My ABS light stays on all the time, I just dropped it off a couple hrs ago at a heavy duty truck service center to get it checked , just received a call they could not get a connection I don't know if he meant he couldn't get any codes or what, told me I would need to take it to a dealer, does any one know what he is talking about, I will ask him tomorrow when I go to pick it up, in the mean time he is going to un-hook the battery and let it re-set it's self, the center has a good reputation they have worked on the MH before. Just thought I would ask on here to see if any one had any information. Thanks. Roy

RE: Slide dragging on floor

I have a similar problem in my Endeavor when I installed vinyl flooring the plastic on the edge of the slide would catch on the strip when it got to where the vinyl joined the tile in the kitchen I just put a throw rug that I have in the MH at the edge and it rides up on it, on mine the floor rises as it meets the kitchen but the roller will not raise it up for it to clear. I am afraid to fool with the slide no leak now but maybe if I tried to raise it would be. Roy

RE: Camping World? Does this seem right?

I don't understand why with all the complaints Camping World has, that Marcus or someone would straighten it out. I would be amazing at the Business they would have if not for all the problems I read on the forum. I buy from Camping World but do my own service. Be safe and enjoy the Holidays. Roy
