RE: Anyone make a mistake buying first MH ?

Yes I have made three mistakes. I have purchased 3 Motor Homes the first a gas. the second a gas the third a 38 FT DP. Should have purchased a 42 ft DP the first time, now due to age it is to late, unless I hit the lottery, just make sure the first one is the right one. Roy

RE: Montana LLC

Use a little common sense, I guess you are the type that needs it spelled out to them, If you are a resident of that state and park your MH at Home, or any storage facility. And the MH is registered in another state you will pay VA taxes if caught. Roy

RE: Montana LLC

I know one thing if you park your MH in Virginia, don't care what state you are registered in if they catch you (VA) you will pay VA taxes. Roy

RE: SLOW cranking when engine warmed up

I had a 1994 Coronado By Fleetwood 454 engine. It would do the exact same think, got stranded on the road, service center put on a new starter did not help, when I got home went to a local auto electrical shop it took them all day but they found the ground cable to the chassis was rusted, used a grinder on the chassis hooked back up no more trouble and I had a new starter that I didn't need. Transmission type

I have a 2007 Lincoln 2 wheel drive crew cab. I have two questions #l does any one know what type of transmission I have it is a four speed Auto. 2. Is the front wheel bearings sealed. The reason I am asking these questions I am getting ready to take to dealer for 60,000 Maintenance, The book says to change fluid in Transmission for TorqShift, I don't think it is a TorqShift but thought I would ask, also the book says replace grease seals if not sealed. I wanted to know before they charged me for something they didn't need to do. I called the dealer they told me I would need to bring it in so they could check it, they have all records on this truck looks like they could go by the Vin and find out. Thanks. You campers up north need to hit the road or put it to sleep for the winter. Roy

RE: 20K and 2.5 yr fight secures a win over HOA for RV parking

I lived in a HOA community in VA, the HOA was OK with me parking my MH beside the garage, but some one reported me to the county they the county said I had to park it in the back yard. I told them that they was probably 20 boats and MH in the community parked like I was, they said go get there address and they would look into it, they don't go around looking for violation but if some one report it they have to Act They was going to give me a Variance, but I moved. Still own the house but rent it out. Roy

RE: Selling of MH

DSDP DON: I guess so Drove it home from the foot hills where I had some work done, sure drove good. I have had 4 new tires put on new vinly plank flooring and new carper, 6 new batteries so any one who buys it will be ready. I was going to have a dealer consign it but I think I will wait until spring and just do crags list now. My Wife passed in 2007 being trying to keep going but have not used it can't see paying taxes and Insurance and it parked beside the garage. Tanks for asking. Roy

Water leak

You will need to excuse my Mechanical terms I am not to good at the names. I was cleaning a few things getting it ready to put up for sale. At the rear bed at the drawers beside the closet on the right rear looking at it from the front looking to the back I took the drawers out the carpet is wet under the drawer. The drawers was not wet where this wet carpet is looks like a big hose I think it is the hose that goes to the air inlet turbocharger looks like it connect to the outside where you have the louvered vent for air. Can water get in the vent. I had the carpet replaced in the bed room in August they removed the bed no sign of a water leak. This leak and hose is at the rear right hand corner looking from the front. I was hoping that some one with a coach like mine could put some light where this leak might be coming from. Sorry for the long tread hope you understand what I am saying. Thanks Roy

RE: Slides

I don't put them in every time it rains, just when we get a thunderstorm warning or tornado watch. Roy
ROYBUCK 08/30/14 08:24am Class A Motorhomes

I park my MH beside my garage at home. It is on a cement pad I put the slides out and leave them out, unless it is going to rain and I put them in. Question can I do this without starting the MH to air up the system. I have been starting it up to do this, hate to start the MH every time to move the slide. Thanks Roy

RE: Driving Comfort

Like to thank all for the replies. I have about 3 inches between the gas and brake might try and move the gas, or attach some sort of plate. I will need to get some one to do it for me, I have got to the point I am not much good for that type of repairs I can still do my maintenance but that is about it. Again Thanks. Roy

RE: Driving Comfort

Yes Dennis I did post this last year, thought I would try again to see if any new suggestions. I have the system that moves the pedal in or out but that is not the problem, I would like to move the seat to the right or move the pedal to the left. Thanks for the reply. Roy

Driving Comfort

As you can see in my signature the MH I have. The Accelerator on this MH sets way to the right of the seat to use the accelerator you need to move your foot to the right a good distance the accelerator lines up with the outside of the seat. With this set up it causes my hip to hurt, I have had the MH for 7 years hurt a little when I first got it but didn't bother me that much, guess age has got to me. My son In-law has a 1998 Endeavor the pedal are perfect. I don't know how much longer I can drive this MH the way it is. Does any one have any suggestion maybe move the seat to the right, they are about 3 inches between the accelerator and the Brake, and about 3 inches between the brake and the steering column. Waiting for your suggestions Thanks Roy
