RE: Anaheim CA Rally, April 12-14, 2013

Then what will Rindy use for a leash? Something a lot more painful than a pony tail. ;)

Oh Tom, was that you giving me instructions, with that "girlie" voice(and of course that thing that you call a Pony Tail), I thought it was Rindy!!! lol Up at Rancho Oso for a few days...great weather, crowded as all get out and the Wi-Fi in the lodge sucks....but who cares. OK, that's it. I'm cutting the pony tail off.

Dwight, you want to keep the noise down. We're trying to sleep over here. Don't make me call the rangers. (Just practicing)

If anyone is interested in aviation history, the Chino Airport is near this campground. We could do a side trip to the Planes Of Fame Museum. We've donre this once with RRTom and RV42, and had a great time reviewing all the history there. Just a thought. There is also another Air Museum there. They are both cool. And a prison nearby in case Vinnie gets out of hand.

Gee must be Tom's fault since he appeared back out the woodwork the campground cancelled us! :B Love ya Tom going to be a bummer not getting to see everyone. LOL, I was trying to get on here before anyone could blame me. We were at the campground at Thanksgiving and they had the place pretty torn up. I was wondering just this morning if they had gotten it done yet. If anyone wants to get an informal get together some where this spring, keep us in mind.

RE: Using the camper (RV) as a "hotel room"

Needed to spend a week at our San Diego office one time and all the hotels were booked because of ComicCon. Drove the motor home down and stayed in it. One of the trainers from another company stayed with me and shared the expense. Very handy.

RE: HELP! Cannot locate decent RV Campground in LA area....

The only other place I might suggest would be Canyon RV in Anaheim. Lots of space large trees. Just a nice place to stay. HOWEVER, depending on the time of day you travel and which direction, being within an hour of everything in this area may be very difficult. For example, if you leave Long Beach at 4:00 on a Friday afternoon, you will not get to San Bernardino in an hour. Good luck in finding a spot.

RE: This is what it's all about!!

Early November in Borrego Springs, CA. Perfect desert weather. The area is designated as one of the best in the country for viewing the stars. Watch the Desert Bighorn Sheep come down off the mountain to graze and drink. My wife and I always feel like we are "coming home" when we head that way.

RE: Can anyone identify this Coach..? Identified Chinook 1973

I would also mention I have a strange affinity for rear dinettes and kitchens. Much better view of your outdoor surroundings. With new coaches, you have all the walls and clutter of the driver's compartment in your sitting area. You can't see outside. Dave, I agree with you about the view from the rear dining area in that motor home. Of all the photos, that is what impressed me the most. I can think of quite a few places we go where the view from that rear window would be much better than the side or front windows.

RE: California State Parks hid money

Government corruption in California? Who would have imagined that? Maybe at the state level but certainly not at the city and county levels! Popsie, I have lived here in California for 50 years. And if I could drag my wife out of here when we retire, I wouldn't hesitate for a minute. But can anyone be sure that every government employee in their state is ethical? yeah, I have become very cynical re: our various forms of government and the people who run them.

California State Parks hid money

I did a search before I posted this and didn't find anything. My apologies if this is a duplicate. After threatening to close state parks, raising fees at some parks to almost double and curtailing services, this comes to light. "State Parks Director Ruth Coleman resigned this morning and her second in command has been fired after officials learned the department has been sitting on nearly $54 million in surplus money for as long as 12 years." The State Parks Director Ruth Coleman resigned this morning and her second in command has been fired after officials learned the department has been sitting on nearly $54 million in surplus money for as long as 12 years. Read more here:**Link** to the full article. I am so angry and feel so frustrated that the average citizen can do nothing in these situations.

RE: TT Stolen

Too late to help you now, but if we see anything (and I mean anything) out of the ordinary in our neighborhood we call the Sheriff. And the Sheriff thanks us for doing so.
