RE: Ride-Rite air springs

I installed them on a 96 holiday rambler f53, rear only and boy I can tell you it made for a much better ride than not having them. Putting them on the rear only shifted the weight to the front which makes the f53 ride better. Try rear only first and see how she rides.

99 diplomat 275 hp cummins

Hey all wondering, is a 99 38' monaco diplomat under powered from the factory? If so why would they use a 275 in a 38' rig??

RE: Anyone near Lapeer MI?? Need some assistance

@td, Yes they were the only vender that holiday rambler used back then, they will only fit the h.r. navigator line. I have a connection with fedex that is gonna cost way less, so once I get it secured and boxed I should be good, just don't want it on a large pallet. Thanks for checking I appreciate that!

Td, Yes it is a company they are located at 3333 John Conley Dr. Lapeer 48446, It cant be taken apart, it would need to have a small 1x6 frame built around it. I could do a small drawing or something to show how. Of course I would compensate you for your time.

RE: Anyone near Lapeer MI?? Need some assistance

I agree, however I am just wanting to protect it with a smaller crate. My idea of framing will keep it from being harmed. Just dont see a need to spend 300+ $ to ship a 20# door.

Anyone near Lapeer MI?? Need some assistance

Like the title says, I am in need of a favor, I am looking at installing a screen door on my rv, issue is the will only ship it on a large pallet which of course makes it WAYYYY too expensive to justify. I am looking for someone who would be willing to build a small 1x4 fram around the thing and bubble wrap the******out of it so I could have fed ex pick it up. Is there anyone that would be willing to help me?? RUNDLC

RE: Thorley headers and new exhaust vs Complete Banks Systems

I installed a set of tri-y thorleys on a 96 H.R. with the ford 460 and I will tell you it made a BIG difference in power and cooling! I noticed improved shifting after installing the trans command from banks to! If you are gonna keep the thing for the next 10 years maybe go with the high dollar banks, I opted for thorleys, found a never mounted set someone didn't use had them installed, I think my total cost was something like 1100.00 great deal as far as I was concerned. Oh yeah that labor cost was to fix a least three broken manifold studs too!

RE: Any dealings with Morrison's V.I.P. in Fresno, Ca.?

Hey Sacs!! Long time, Well I am at the point of no return, I know I won't be able to sell her even with all the mods I have done for what the boss says we "have" to get, then I would need to come up with another 25K or so to move up sooooooo..... this is my next possible adventure, we really have a solid unit but just a little more room would seal my desire to just hold onto it. We are gonna have to meet up sometime. I have been going to the Auburn area quite a bit as of late doing some home designs for a couple of clients are you near Auburn?

Spoke with the owner today, was quoted a basic price of 18k for about a 11' slide, could be a few dollars less once he actually sees it. Hmmmmm

RE: Any dealings with Morrison's V.I.P. in Fresno, Ca.?

That is what the parts person at the headquarters told me. Now keep in mind I am only speaking about HWH parts. There may be others out there. When I called Morrison's they also told me they were the only distributor for HWH aftermarket slide parts

Any dealings with Morrison's V.I.P. in Fresno, Ca.?

I am doing some research on this company, I contacted HWH in Iowa and they say that Morrison's is the only company in the U.S. that they will sell aftermarket slideout parts too. Have you or someone you know ever had work completed by this company? I am looking for good, bad or indifferent. I am scheduling an appt sometime next month and wanted some feedback from the group. http://www.morrisonsvipcoach.com/ Sorry not sure how to do the clicky thing, anyone help?? TIA

RE: 93-96 H.R. Navigator HID headlight upgrade

Ok, for those that asked, before and after pics. I also have decided that I will go for a larger (4") amber LED turn signal, I think it will look better. I found this setup for Prevost (YIKES look at the cost of this setup!! But If you have a Prevost this is pocket change huh? ) and saw the turn signal was a little larger and that pushed me over the edge to change the size, now I need to find one that is a surface mount without using a grommet. I don't think I'll have more update pics until I get these painted, make up my mind for the old turn signal hole and figuring out where I want the 90MM fog lights to go. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&vxp=mtr&item=170959736393 BEFORE http://i50.tinypic.com/2e30kyt.jpg After http://i47.tinypic.com/8yt5hk.jpg

RE: 93-96 H.R. Navigator HID headlight upgrade

I was asked to post some basic costs and installation info. First if I were to do this again I would just stick with Halogen lighting that way you save the cost of xenon (unless that just what you want as I did) and the wiring harness. 90MM Hella Low beams Part no HL68137 $64.25 each 90MM Hella High beams Part no HL68136 $59.75 each I have not done a fog light yet, however I want to also add the 90MM fog once I figure out where to put it Turn Signals were from ebay $25.00 shipped Xenon wiring harness from the "Retrofit Source" Part no 880/881 This is only optional if using xenon lighting $30.00 plus shipping Misc. wiring, nuts & bolts $30.00 Fiberglass supplies $35.00 Now I will be selling the fiberglass headlight bezels for $250.00 per pair "IF" there is enough interest, I would need to have the molds made and won't shell out the money to do so unless there is a min of 5-8 sets wanted. I would verify that with the guy that is making the molds for me. There will be of course some fitting of the bezels that will need to be done on the installers part, I am sure there are other ways to attach them, That would be up to each person to determine. Overall it is not too difficult a conversion IMHO All I did was remove the vertical lines that separated the large rectangle lights, I then wired the harness into a 12v source (auto step hot wire), hooked a ground to the chassis. There is a steel tube in the front area above the genny where a lot of relays are I just installed the relays there. I then fiber glassed all the all-threads to the bezels. The wiring is easy cause all the lights have their own plugs, just cut and wire in. __________________
