RE: Refiners - a factor in the price of fuel.

Here in Pennsylvania, as the price of gas at the pumps drop, our governor adds more tax per gallon. The consumer can't win. :M More fuel efficient cars + all electric cars = less or no taxes collected so taxes raised.

RE: Shut off water at home???

Water valve into house off, water heater electric switch off, shock pool and filter off, set temperature at 83F for warm weather or 64F when cold weather.

RE: Peeves

11 or more items in the 10 item checkout lane. And guess what, 11 cans of the same dog food is not one item.

RE: Famed British actor Christopher Lee passes away

Sir Christopher Lee was indeed exceptional, but for me, Bela will always be the best.

RE: Real Racing

I would hazard to say this is the ultimate in racing, for competitor AND fan.

RE: More about drinking water safety

In 16 years of full-timing we never sanitized our tank. We got our water from many sources, used it for drinking and cooking, and never had any problems. That's what the fresh water tank is for. FIL never sanitized the FW tanks in his boats after the initial time, from the 39' Matthews to the 50' Manson, whether during his live-aboard times or not. Once a year in our MH.

Another vote for Tropical Palms. Close as you can get outside of FW.

RE: RV on anniversaries?

Absolutely nothing wrong with a RVniversary. My wife does not like bling, flowers, candy or exotic locals. She has never used a bit of makeup and is not into fine dining or wine. In many aspects a minimalist, as am I. We have known each other since 1st grade, age 6, and began our love for each other at the age of 22. Have been married since 1973 and have vacationed on her anniversary where she AND I have wanted to be since the last century. #42 in just a few. p.s.-also RV on her birthday and any other time she says she wants, too. :B

RE: Fort Wilderness on 4/24 - 4/26

I went to Disney once, and that was enough for me. And that was 35 years ago. Too many people, too much standing in line, too expensive, too artificial. I just don't get it. I can go to London and visit world class museums with a large dose of class for less money! Wife and I have no problem with artificial fantasy. No need for class since our noses are down to earth. Cost is simply relative. 2.5-3.0 hours from driveway to campsite is a little bit quicker than tripping over the pond.

RE: Would this bother you?

Not your job to call the TT owner or leave a note, get in touch with manager immediately about all issues. You pay for your space and utility not for someone else to use or to have their power cord across your space.

Considering a 2008 Aspect 26A, any owner input

Thinking about downsizing and the 26A on Chevy looks like a floorplan we can live with. Just wondering if anyone out there has one or close to it and how it is working out for you as far as reliability. I'm sure a PW is above, but the price could be right for the 26A. Thanks

Removing Kwikee step motor....

Steps not working with power to motor... I removed the motor/actuator assembly from the steps so I could work on it upright instead of upside down. VERTIGO, so even removing the assembly got me ill. I did this years ago on another MH to replace the bad motor but don't remember if there were any precautions to be taken after removing the 3 bolts securing the motor and before separating it. Thank you.
