RE: disappointed with Camping World Woodstock GA

tcboyd,
There probably not alot CW can do, I'm having the same problem getting correct awnings from the manufacturers. It seems both Carefree and Dometic are having problems filling orders right the 1st time.

RE: another slideout question

Bring'em in. Helps keep out most critters when the slides are sealed against the wall of the camper, helps prevent water damage in the case that one of your slide seals is twisted or not doing it's job. And if by chance something gets damaged in a freak of nature...they are not stuck in the out position if you have to move it.

RE: Rubber roof treatment

We use Dawn dish soap and sometimes simple green to remove the stubborn spots, then treat it with the Dicor Roof-Gard UV shield(they are the folks that make the rubber roof)

RE: Repairing water damage and need help on how to remove glue

Use a sander with a course grit paper, this will remove the excess debris and condition the surface for the new adhesive you want to use.

RE: Upset with Pooler, Georgia Camping World Service

Sounds to me like you should just pick up your unit. It's is your right. Your insurance company can easily cancel the check they wrote and issue another for the work that is completed. Take it to Gore's or Boat-n-RV, have them complete the remainder of the repairs. Unless CW is "covering" your deductible......which is fraud....it shouldn't be an issue.
I've dealt with their GM.....he is young, totally sales oriented. you're wasting your time with him.....If you are bent on having them finish the work call the CW in Woodstock, GA and ask for Paul Ervin..he is the area District Service Manager. Maybe he can get some resolution for you. If not, call CW Corporate and ask for the number of Josh Erickson...he is regional Vice President...if you don't get any resolution from him...well then...you probably won't.
There are some tools for you to try. I agree with some of the other responses here. If you are going to let them finish the work stop the rant and let us know what happens at the end.

RE: Used RV purchase. No further contact

Try your salesman or the sales manager. This is usually how this works: The Service Dept performs a prep on the unit, making a list of all items they have found needing attention, they present it to the sales dept for authorization to have fixed. At that time, based on the price and "we owe" written at time of sale the sales dept authorizes the repairs they want done. Granted they should have called you back or gotten you to the folks that can make a decision on those items. But, they can't spend the sales dept money without their authorization. Call the guys that sold it to you and ask for a PDI check list or a list of repairs done on your vehicle at time of sale. It may shed some light on the situation.

RE: resolved

Tom,
Is the delamination, water related or is the filon exterior coming loose from the backing in certain spots....Is it bubbling from the roof line and marker lights down, or is it bubbling in the center or specific spots away from the edges of the coach? This will help determine if it is maintenance related or manufacturer related. Either way, the estimate is awful high...I just did a front cap in my shop this week. Parts were 515.00 including shipping and labor was 7 hours...total Job was 1250.00. You might call the Service Manager at the CW shop and ask him if he can cut you some slack. Depending on his work load he may do it just to fill his schedule and keep his flat rate techs busy. If he doesn't call around, there are plenty of shops that can do this type of work...it's not rocket science and they're not the only Dutchman dealer in town.
