RE: hitch blocked by another trailer

My son is over to visit. He is a city police officer. He says that if you move it, you are liable and could be subject to prosecution, as this is considered theft, believe it or not. On the other hand if you call for a police officer to drop by and state that you need assistance. He can get the information from the DMV on who the owner is and call and tell them it must be moved or it will be towed. He can not give you this information. If the officer can not reach the owner, he will have it towed to a secure facility. Once he has a tow truck hook on, the police department is then liable and it must be towed to a secure storage yard. These are the local departments policies and I am sure that the don't differ much from city to city. He tells me this is not an uncommon call.

Catalogue

I have been a Good Sam member for several years, have platinum roadside assistance, am a active Good Sams member. I have spent in excess of $5000.00 at Camping World in the last three years, for RV accessories I have actively steered many of my Canadian RV friends to Camping World as an RV accessory supplier. I have been a supporter of your company, but my feelings have begun to change.
I did not receive my annual catalogue this year so I called and a very unpleasant lady took my information and said she was sending me two copies. One for myself and one for my employee who recently purchased a new RV from Camping World in Chichester New Hampshire. That call was made three weeks ago and still no catalogue. This is June. I have a list of supplies to purchase. I know I can go online, but I enjoy browsing the catalogue. WHY can I not get a catalogue?
Moderator, if I have placed this incorrectly, please sent to proper forum.
Please get back to me.

RE: GOOD SAMS CLUB

I'm speaking of the Good SAMs camping club, not Good Sam.
This is a group of RV enthusiasts that operate as Good SAMs. There are chapters all over the US and Canada are are connected to Good Sam. Do they have an official website?

My wife and I just attended our first Good Sams Club campout. We had a great time.
Does Good Sams have an official website? As well does Camping World sell Good Sams merchandise?

what do you think

I am considering a new company vehicle that would be used as both a service vehicle and a tow vehicle. We would be towing a 8200 LB (loaded) tag along. The vehicle I am considering is a Ford 3/4 ton van with a 5 liter. What are your thoughts?

ROOF CLEANING AND TREATING

I have a rubber roof and try to keep it nice and clean to reduce black streaks. I have been told that the product "Mop and Glow" does a good job of cleaning and coating the roof. Has anybody tried this and if so, how well does it word? I would also like any other recommendations or suggestions. I hate to pay the price for CW roof cleaner. It doesn't work that well anyway.

RE: Trip to PEI, NB, Novia Scotia

We are from that region and seldom have problems with getting camping space, unless you are checking in on a Friday.
You are coming to the most beautiful region of Canada. As well you will meet the most friendly people in Canada.
Carol and I would love to recommend some great campgrounds and sights.
Send us a private message, and we would love to help. We know all three provinces well. The lobster will be waiting.

Good SAMs Clubs

Wife and I have been invited to a Good Sams RV Club weekend camping trip. I can't find any information on this organization. It is my understanding that they are affiliated with Good Sam. Does anybody have any information on this organization. It surprises me that a group like this is not promoted more.

RE: You know it's camping season when....

I come back to life, in anticipation of camping season. I'm like a kid on Christmas eve.
I disappear to the RV and do my spring interior cleaning. Then I restock the cabinets and refrigerator with food, make the bed, flush the tanks, and since the refrigerator is stocked I have a beer or glass of wine.
Everybody should check their safety devices (fire alarm, gas sensor, etc.) and replace batterys even if they seem ok. This is a good habit to get into.
I love to just get in the RV and get ready for that first trip. As well, the grand kids love to camp out in the driveway when they visit.
If I had known the enjoyment and relaxation of RV'ing years ago I would have had an RV a lot sooner. You don' have to travel far to get a lot of enjoyment and meet some great new friends.

RE: Camping World Catalogue

I have often gone on this forum and despite others opinions of Camping World, have always supported them and Marcus. Well it's like this, how do I get a Season catalogue from CW.
I am a Good Sam member, Roadside Assistance member. and have supported them to the tune of several thousand dollars over two or three years. I have a secretary that has just purchased her first TT and has a list a mile long of things she wants to order. She likes to shop in print format, as do I. Everybody else has been receiving their catalogue, except me. What's the problem? Don't you want my Canadian money Marcus? WHERE IS MY CATALOGUE??????????????????
I think that maybe, other posters are right.

RE: Camping World Catalogue

Sometimes I think that both of our countries are back to horse and wagon for moving mail LOL Thanks for the information.
I might be wrong, but I thought it came earlier last year. By the time they process my order and I put a mortgage on the house to pay for the shipping, camping season will be over.
