I guess I was assuming the aggressive tune was still on the truck. Although not fully stated and rereading the OP and title, it sounds like the tune and all mods may have been removed from the truck, put back to OEM standard, and then the truck was sold???
I think "previous" was the key word in the title.
One would think. The absence of tuner hardware does not exclude the absence of the tune in all cases.

As already mention, the newer truck still under warranty should be able to be checked by the manufacturing dealer to tell if there was any non-OEM tune on it. I know this is absolutely the case with my Subaru.
I find it odd that the new owner couldn't tell there was a tune on the truck if it was aggressive. Other than that, an aggressive tune would generally come with a new exhaust eliminating mandated emissions. Did this guy live in an area where emission testing was not required for registration?
Buyer beware.
There are those that will go to great lengths to hide previous mods, there are those in emissions areas that will remove the tuner, reinstall the EGR and cooler just to pass the test, then remove again and ride it hard.
This is why I don't have an issue with higher mileage diesels in the used market. I bought mine at 10 years of age, and 234,000 miles, or 23,400 per year, those are typically hauling miles. It also still had the drop-in camper tie-downs.
I have always been a little leery of low mileage used diesels, either the owner didn't like diesel, or no longer had the need for it, or IT HAD ISSUES!!

I agree completely about Estes Park. It has become such a tourist trap it has lost its charm. Seems like in the summer months, things are much more about money there anymore.
One place you touched on, but more so about just a drive through, is Glenwood Springs. That is a great town to hang out in with a lot of CO outdoor activity nearby. Something nice to do is soaking in the Glenwood Hot Springs pool. It may seem commercialized at first, but go there, it is nice to soak after a long day of outdoor activities.

1. Awning - ALWAYS roll it back up and store it before you leave the area no matter what...unless you are very nearby and can roll it up if the weather changes.
Fixed! ;)
Saw that someone else mentioned it and thought it important enough to mention it again. It only takes a few minutes to ruin an awning.

I would agree with the others who said dialing in the dual-cam was not complicated.

No , original, maybe 8000 miles on tt
It is recommended, check your TT manual, to repack once a year. With the moisture/rain you see in FL, might not be a bad idea. Also allows for brake inspection/adjustments when repacking.

Only thing about it is the 200 revolutions it takes to fully open or close the slide.
Just think of it as a free workout ;)
BTW OP, I replaced my motor as it would periodically fail. Found the part online and replaced it myself...was not too time consuming and not very difficult. Part --> http://www.lippertrepairparts.com/lippert-venture-motor.aspx Of course, this may not be the part for your slide but a quick search may result in the proper motor for your slide.

If you are ultimately headed to ID, a side excursion in the ID direction puts you near John Day Fossil Beds National Monument NP which is one of those "hidden" secrets in OR.
A great, but very small, RV park in nearby Dayville is http://www.fishhouseinn.com/, They do take reservations and you would be wise to reserve. Just be prepared to not want to leave.
This is a very unique area for Oregon and I highly recommend trying to go through there. Make sure to plan enough time to spend a day at the Painted Hills Unit:

...you'd be better off just installing a second battery (best results would be to install two batteries of the same size, capacity and age at the same time) but just getting a similar battery to your current one would still be a help.
The OP would be best severed by buying two batteries that go to replace the RV (single?) battery. Then use the charged single battery as a spare for backup per the OP's original need in this thread. I would make sure that for the spare, there was some way to "bolt" it down.
I would not consider adding a second battery to an older one (even if the same size/capacity) as the new battery will be greatly hampered by the old battery when in parallel. I know Skip touched on this, just thought it would be best to provide a bit more explanation :)

BTW, didn't see this mentioned...
Do you service your bearings? Your tire may have blown from overheating which could be caused by a bearing issue or improperly working brakes. Best to get the bearings repacked and the brakes adjusted/inspected too.

We did the "cross country" move in our TT last year...but only from OR to CO. I would personally recommend limiting travel to a maximum of 500 miles a day with TT in tow.
Make sure you check the brakes and bearings and tires before you leave.
With the age of their TT, I would say: Just do the brake job/bearings and go ahead and replace the TT tires unless they are already new. Don't just look at the TT tires and think you are good because they look new, check the date. At a minimum, do the bearing repack (brakes will be checked at that time). You want to keep those wheels as cool as possible for less chance of a blowout and a bearing repack will help with this.
Up the Pacific coast will be worth it but slow. In OR and WA, there are many coastal towns where speed limits are very low...make sure to respect those limits as I always saw people pulled over for speeding when I lived on the coast there.
Other than that, don't stress out about this trip/move. Make the best of it and enjoy your travels!

I thought Ford's 7.6l diesel was made in Mexico yet the f-series got top engine ranking for made in USA? Yes, I realize that the 6.7 is just a segment of the over-all engines Ford makes for f-series...but top ranking?
For me, doesn't lead a whole lot of credibility to that link.

As most have said, shouldn't be much of a concern these days. Just make sure the TT is level, side to side (front to back too).
-weaker frame (we will be taking this on some rough roads and I worry about it flexing, like logging roads...)
Do your research on manufacturers and don't only get caught up in settling because of a floor plan. Don't get me wrong, floor plan is important, just don't settle on a RV that could be bad just to get that specific floor plan. Go to a RV show and do a pretend "live in" while viewing many, many models.
-some places we take it will not have the width to open it
The TT length will probably be more of a hindrance for this concern.
-maintenance
Probably more setup issues to be concerned with than maintenance issues:
level TTClean slide roof before bringing inmake sure nothing is binding inside TT when extending/bringing inmake sure slide properly seals when bringing incheck wiper seal when outcheck for clearance before extending out
But this is all basic stuff and will become fairly routine.
-not being able to close it if it were to break while we are in the middle of no-where in CO.
You would be surprised how helpful other RV'rs are in a "crisis", most are more than willing to lend a hand. But you are right, it could present an issue but most likely will not happen.
As for our Exp, it is a 2012 w/ the 5.4 and the HD towing package.
With your growing family, you should make sure of your payload limits in respect to loaded TV weights.

However, there is a perpetual amount of misinformation day after day here. Granted, the site does have more correct info than bad, but the bad still continues to exist which confuses noobs even more.
Bottom line is read your TV manual, read your TV payload sticker (if it has one) and read your TV hitch sticker.

I dunno. I never seem to hear gasser owners complaining because they put diesel in their tank by mistake. Maybe people should just pay more attention. In my part of Canada, most diesel handles are yellow.
Size does matter.

Grease the trunion ends on the weight distribution bars.
Yup. I make it a habit of new grease on the spring bar connections to the hitch as well as the ball every time I hook up. Then a couple of paper towels to wipe off the grease when I unhitch. Wiping off the grease avoids making a mess as well as always having fresh grease the next hitch-up.
