RE: RV-type water heater modification for my boat?????

If you have to replace it why not an on-demand unit?

RE: Tarp to cover camper

We found a white tarp online for ~ $40 that works and isn't as obvious as the bright ones are.

RE: buck hall campground

I sent an IM before I read this. The only site with sewer is the host. All other camper sites have power, water, concrete picnic table, fire ring and usually two lantern posts.

RE: Possibly switching out trucks under my Lance 830...

I have an 07 Dodge 2500 5.9 CTD, auto, CC, SB, 2WD, Lance 820 loaded with genny, etc. It's heavy. I've added all the suspension goodies, sway bar, shocks, springs, etc. I get ~ 12mpg w/camper also dragging a 15' alum. jon boat, loaded firewood, etc. Get the 3500 dually and don't look back. The 5.9 duallys are becoming more available as the new Dodge Kool-Aid hits the dealers.

RE: Roof rack... what good is it?

The worst worry, from experience, is the tubes splitting from water inside freezing.

RE: Short or Long bed

The Lance 820 is SB also. I think it was the predecessor to the 825.

RE: Late model GM diesel exhaust question

Thanks for all the comments! So I guess no-one has had or has realized they have a heat issue?? I'm looking at the GMC and just noticed the pipe appears it will point at the generator area. Maybe I'll test drive it home and load :) I did read the manual about the "special" pipe design to cool the exhaust so reworking is probably not an option. Thanks again!

Late model GM diesel exhaust question

Does anyone have any issues with late model GM Duramax exhaust pipe pointing at the overhang on their TC?? Any pictures would be appreciated.

Thanksgiving Camping Awendaw South Carolina

Buck Hall campground for a week. Fished two days with well over 100 speckled trout between two people. Gulp shrimp outfished everything including live mud minnows. Kept 14 for the grill. Rifle range close by and visited Georgetown Maritime Museum. Mini-hurricane Sat night and Sun make the fish hungry! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/Reelescape1/IMG_0502.jpg width=640 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/Reelescape1/IMG_0504.jpg width=640 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/Reelescape1/IMG_0505.jpg width=640 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v68/Reelescape1/IMG_0506.jpg width=640 NOTE: maximum width=640

RE: Legs ripped of TC. Where to fix in South Carolina?

The closest truck camper dealer I know is in NC. Check Lance site for location.

RE: rear view camera system - wired

I had a wireless one from Advance Auto on my truck for ~ 1 year before it died. It was $70. It worked well enough.I hope you have better luck with that one especially for that $$$.

Hunting Island 16 miles south of Beaufort is nice.

RE: Georgia / South Carolina Beach camping

Hunting Is. is nice with search info on here. Edisto is supposed to be nice but never been. Buck Hall is my go-to but mainly because boat/fish, etc. Mid Sept starts a 60 day shrimp baiting season and it's full then. Myrtle Beach area is too touristy/crowded for my liking. Bucksport is inland a bit. I've seen it from the river only, might be nice. Calhoun Falls is very nice but also way inland.
