RE: Has Anyone Put These on A Class C

Yes, I put a pair of these jacks on the back of my Class C. Like you intend to, I use them only for stabilizing. They work fine and I am satisfied with them. I say go for it.

2010 Jayco 31FS Battery Issue

Here is my problem. The emergency start does not work and the house battery is not charging when the truck is running. I found the emergency relay under the hood . With my meter I found house battery voltage on one side and truck battery voltage on the other side. With the emergency button pushed I have house voltage on both of the small terminals of the relay. With the truck running I truck battery voltage on both of the small terminals.I shut the truck off and disconnected the red wire off the small terminal and found house voltage with the emergency button pushed, reconnected and disconnected the white wire off of the small terminal and had no voltage. I left rang the white wire out for ground. It was open, no ground found.
I then made a jumper and went from the small termianl where the white wire was and ground. The relay closed and the house battery was connected to the truck battery. I then started the truck and used the jumper to ground and the house battery was being charged from truck.
Sorry for the long story. I dont understand why I lost the ground? Everything was fine when the rv was put away in the late fall.
Thoughts Please.

RE: Atwood 8500 Furnace

try cleaning the sail switch first
That was my first thought but I my reading lead me to believe that the furnace wouldnt even light if the sail switch was the issue?

Atwood 8500 Furnace

Working on a Friends furnace. Here is the issue.
-turn the thermo on for heat and the furnace starts
-fan spins ignitor sparks and gas flows
-you can feel heat at the exhaust
-after about 10 secs the gas shuts off with the fan still spinning
-It tries this 2 more times and then the fan stays running
My research has led me to the board or the thermo couple.
Changing the board looks like an easy job, dont know about the thermo couple.
Your thoughts?

RE: Heated Floor

Wouldn't the heat mat go under the laminate floor?
Thanks correction made. Next time I will stop typing and listen to my wife instead of trying to multi task.

Heated Floor

We are about to replace the carpet in our Greyhawk with laminate. I was curious if anyone has put a floor heat mat in there rv? I have done some research and found that it is possible to put the heat mat under the laminate I was just wondering how much heat you really get.

RE: Sherkston Shores rv resort

Hi all, we are looking at going to this spot next year, anyone with any feed back would be great
We usually go every May 24 Weekend. Lots to do for the kids and the adults. Beach was nice. We really enjoyed the free bands on the weekend. The sites are nice a little close in some areas but more than acceptable. I dont think you will be disappointed.

RE: Carrying Fuel.... I think not

Let my try to be brief .... if you run out of gas on the Alaska Highway you deserve it! There is absolutely no reason to carry fuel if you exercise even the smallest amount of prudence in planning your trip.
Did you kick your dog as well?

RE: Generator decibels (DBs)

To take it a little more off topic. The no parallel is due to the Canadian electrical code. Follow the code and it defeats the ability to parallel the gensets.
As for the price difference I can remember talking to folks about a VAT tax placed on most anything that even remotely has a Canadian produced product. Not to mention the extremely high costs if you use a third party for doing the importing.
Years ago when I was OTR driving we'd take orders from Canadians and deliver the stuff to Rouse's Point where our terminal was.
I bought my 2 Champion's and parallel kit from the Costco in Ontario. Had to order the parallel kit in. But had no trouble getting it last summer.
