RE: Aqua-Hot service in South Florida

$150-200 depending on what is done. Generally it's replacing the fuel nozzle, fuel filter, cleaning the combustion chamber and topping off the coolant. Poor access by the coach manufacturer can make the service longer ie more costly. It should take about an hour or so.

RE: Aqua-Hot service in South Florida

I use MASTER TECH mobile RV Services - LEW FARBER 239 601-8650 out of Naples. He is EXCELLENT with HH and factory authorized for nearly all other repairs (warranty/otherwise). Land Yachts in Jupiter, FL 561 745-0242 www.landyachtsinc.com
landyachtsinc@bellsouth.net is where I have ALL of my East coast service done (warranty/otherwise). Don Kraker and his staff are also EXCELLENT. Those the only 2 service providers I would even consider in South, Florida.

RE: Progressive HW50C Reading high voltage

What are you using to test the 127v? How do you know that's not the faulty reading? Is The PI EMS cutting off power to the coach?

RE: Priced Tiffin 32BA

Try Sherman in Mississippi, Davis in Memphis and Bankston in Albama. You should be able to obtain 25% or so off MSRP on a cash deal.

Drop the tank and remove it. Do you really want to find out the hard way that leaving it in there was NOT a good idea???

RE: Access to RV thru locked windows if locked out

I hate to say this, but a hidden key won't solve all the problems. My door lock bolt broke and a key wouldn't have done ANY good. The lock smith couldn't even get it to open. Finally had to drill a 1" hole in the front panel and take a pair of pliers to pull/push the lock bar back so the door would open.
Sounds like the same problem that trippers had, except mine wasn't under warrenty!!
I also carry an extra key in an outside bay, but it won't work with this type of problem!!
Same problem but with the entry door handle failing instead. No way in except to Jimmy a window or drill out the handle. I tried to Jimmy the window but that only led to shattering the outside pane which made Jimmying a WHOLE LOT EASIER. Replacement window $200 without labor to install. Replacement door handle $25 if drilled out and DIY install. Which method do you think I'm going to use next time???

RE: Phaeton DP by Tiffin... Should He?

The overweight axles (15500# or so are on a 14600 front axle) are on some of the 42/43 Allegro Bus on a Spartan, PowerGlide or Freightliner chassis. The tag axled coaches have no problems with loading on the rear axles. The 40' coaches have 20000 or 22000# and are generally not overloaded unless you have a motorcycle lift or are bringing your rock collection along.

RE: TRVN malware removal

Now that you have printed out the removal instructions, the 20 steps, go back an click on my link earlier in this post. This will bring you to the 20 steps and you will be able to readily click on the additional links in steps #2, 4 and 9. Once those links download the additional software to your computer they should be in your browser Downloads folder. At that point, click on them and Save them to the default location on your computer. The instructions and new software should essentially walk through the 20 steps.
In step 7, the file is not called tsc.exe. I believe it was cs.exe but more importantly look for the SHEILD icon to the left of the file name. It's the file you need to remove.

RE: TRVN malware removal

Johnny T and the other Mods THANK YOU very much for alloying this to be posted here.
I'm not sure exactly how the malicious software was initiated when one entered TRVN. Hopefully, the Admins will be able to shed some additional light once TRVN is back online. Somehow, my AVG Internet security software did not see the program as a threat. However, Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware software, from my aforementioned corrective link, had no problem identifying, removing and quarantining it.

RE: TRVN malware removal

Is there a way to determine that you actually have the problem without needed to click on your link?
I'm a little shy about going to sites I don't know - especially now!
You'll readily know if your computer has been affected with the unwanted software. Your desktop/taskbar will have new icons, your browser will not cooperate and you'll have plenty of annoying Cyber Security pop up boxes. If you don't have those symptoms, you're probably good to go.

TRVN malware removal

If your computer was affected:
I don't believe it was linked to a specific post but rather the "New Posts" link. Once clicked on, it generated a generic pop up box with a warning message similar to something your Operating System or Internet security software would produce. Regardless of clicking on OK or Cancel it began downloading Cyber Security software etc onto your computer and once installed it hijacked your browser. If I had clicked on the Back button of the browser or Shift F4 (close window) instead the download could have been averted. I used the following link and 20 step process to quickly and easily scrub that junk/@#$% off my desktop and laptop. It took 20-30 minutes to accomplish but the computer is NOW protected with additional malware software. I hope this helps.

RE: Gel Gloss?

I use it only the gel coated fiberglass roof. I use Meguiars #21 Synthetic Sealant (or Meguiars NXT) on the rest of the clear coat painted surfaces. Both are applied with with a Porter Cable 7424 RO polisher at 2500rpm and removed by hand with a microfiber towels twice a year.
