RE: Tire Replacement

I ordered a set through FMCA last week. Mine are on their 8th yr. By last fall the cracks were getting to big for comfort. It's been sitting since then. It's time to get back on the road.

RE: Slideout creeps in.

My Journey did that. It was a check valve problem. Mine is under the entry step.

RE: Farm Bureau Insurance Experience

I've had Farm Bureau for over 20 yrs. I thought they were getting a little high so I went price shopping. There were no other companies that could come close so I stayed with them. I have everything through them Home, Motorhome, Boat and two cars. The best rates are when you combine several things. Bob

RE: Longevity of tires

If the MH is driven they can go until the tread is gone without cracking. They crack from sitting. I restore old cars. When they sit without being driven, even for two years they start to crack. The cars that are driven often, never crack. I had a front tire blow out on a class A at 70 mph. I heard it blow and the steering had a slight pull to that side. It never caused any control problems. I eased off the gas and coasted to the side of the road. Don't panic and hit the brakes and you won't have a problem. I've read where some say to hit the gas when a front tire blows. I won't do that and I don't think it's possible unless you expect it to happen. Your natural reaction is to lift the throttle and take a firm grip on the wheel which is exactly what I did.

RE: WOW, scary

First of all there are two jacks on the front. This is what I do to run my refrigerator before leaving on a trip. I only leave it this way for two days. My coach has been on some unlevel ground many times and my fridge always works just fine.

RE: RV barn slab question fiber mesh vs steel

Properly compacted soil and cured 4" concrete is all you need. Anything else is overkill. I poured a 3 1/2" slab for a customer over 15 yrs. ago with no issues. All concrete cracks even with no weight on it. Bob Agreed except is incorrect and if the releif lines are cut properly with a self driven wet cutter the cracks if any will only follow those releif lines Controlled cracking is still cracking.

RE: Dish Network

I have Dish network. I pay 5.00 per month for the second receiver and they know one is in my MH. I told them that when it set it up and they suggested I do it that way. Nothing wrong or illegal about it. They don't care where I am. If I don't use the one in the mh for a few of weeks, I have to call them to reactivate it. I always tell them it's the receiver in my mh. Bob
