RE: Police cars
I think the Altima is a COMPACT car.
This shows you truly have no idea what you are talking about or what the true size of a car is then.
The Altima is a small car. The Maxima, a much larger car, is a midsize. The altima night--just, jsut barely--squeak into the category of midsized, but I doubt it. Either way, a Charger DWARFS an Altima.
You clearly don't know what you're talking about: I don't make the call here, the DOT does. A Charger & a Vic are fullsize (the new Taurus might also be fullsize), an Accord was a compact until the last redesign (now a midsize), my Magnum is considered "Special Purpose" (essentially, an SUV), I think a Mustang is classed as a compact. Heck, a 4th-generation Camaro is considered a subcompact.
I'm not here to get into a war of words, even though I know you will, but the Altima isn't DWARF by the Charger. I have an Altima and have been looking at the new Charger. I like the looks of the Charger but haven't made up my mind yet.
Altima:
Head room (front/rear) 40.6/36.8
Leg room (front/rear) 44.1/35.8
Hip room (front/rear) 56.8/52.5
Wheelbase 109.3
Overall length 190.7
Overall width 70.7
Overall height 57.9
Charger:
Head room (front/rear) 38.7/36.2
Leg room (front/rear) 41.8/40.2
Hip room (front/rear) 56.2/57.6
Wheelbase 120.0
Overall length 200
Overall width 74.5
Overall height 58.2
So I guess in overall length the Charger is bigger but inside where it pretty much counts IMO the Altima bigger.

RE: Oct Truck Sales
Looks to me like Nissan should kill the trucks they make and that maybe Toyota should consider doing the same on the Tundra. Both make great trucks but can't be profitable at that volume...
I have a Dodge and that is the only part of Dodge this is not talked about being killed. Then again they discussed making the Dodge Trucks a seperate Ram brand.
I think Nissan is working on it SLOWLY.... no advertising, or real upgrades, it's dying a slow death.
RE: Where is the beef?
OK... I'm by no means an engineer but between the Dodge and Ford, Dodges' bottom member looks bigger or thicker than the Ford and the top look the same. I sure all of those extra holes control the way it collapses in a crash but all in all it doesn't look that much beefier?
I wonder where the Titan would have fit in. I'm hoping somewhere between the Toyota and surprising non-frame Chevy but I remember when the Titan came out they did have a pretty beefy frame.
RE: My new boat car that I pull COOOOOOL
HOLY CRAP.... what a bunch of OLD GUYS on this thread! You all turned into your parents and forgot how to have fun! Rolling red light, cruddy music, don't eat to fast, don't go into the pool for at least a 1/2 hour after eating....:S
Just look at the video, turn down the sound if you don't like it and think, that's pretty cool. That things sounds great, it goes in the water and looks fast. All in all it's pretty cool!
Need New Tires....Questions Hankook RF10
Hey Guys,
On my truck currently I have BFG TA KO 315/70 17's. Great tire but I'm in need asap of getting some new tires possibly saving a little money too. I do off road a bit but I also pull my Jayco Jayflight 29 BHS, about 7300 lbs. ready for camping. I'm looking at the Hankook Dynapro RF10 which have gotten a lot of great reviews but I can't find anything on how they'll stand up with towing.
Does anyone have any experience or comments on these tires?
Thanks
RE: Is all gas equal ??
OK here's a question....
I know here in San Diego most if not all gas comes from the same distribution center. If anyone knows San Diego, it's by the stadium. You can see everything from Shell trucks to Chevron to no-name gas trucks filling up, then head off to the stations.
So with that said, when and where do certain brands add there own additives?
