RE: Hitch package from RV dealer
I bought an equalizer hitch from RV Wholesalers for $5oo and had the dealer install it for $150. Dealers in Tucson wanted $850. You do need a brake controller.
RE: Newbie here and need advice
With travel trailer you have more options. You don't have to stay in one spot. Like said most RV parks take pets (usually 2 max). I have a Ford Expedition with a 5.4L and I pull 6000 lbs with no problem, a little slow on hills, but what's the rush! We stay in our trailer for 4 to 5 months at a time with two dogs. A slide out for us is a must. We pull a 30' Apex TT.
RE: Coachmen
I just bought a 2012 Coachman Apex. We are very satisfied so far, just a minor issue of the sink hose coming loose. Best of all it is light with no wood behind the fiberglass to delam. They are made by Forest River now.
RE: Tire Pressure Monitor worth buying for gas savings?
I would say YES! I had a flat and it alarmed off and I pulled over without any damage to the trailer or tire. I had a blowout before without the monitor and it tore up the tire and under carriage. Someone driving next to me pointed that I had a problem.
P3 Brake Controller Question
I can't get a answer from my dealer and wonder if someone can help.
The controller asks for either electric or electric over hydraulics. Which do I select? I have a 2012 Coachmen Apex trailer.
RE: Question about possible TT/TV combo
If your willing to wait 3 weeks the pro pride is $250 off list. I just bought it for my 2012 Apex 30' trailer. I have a 2010 Exp.
