RE: Whose fault is it!!! Follow up to "You forgot to do what".

I would blame Thor unless they have something in writing from CW changing the color. If the first one was corre.ct except for the windows I wonder what was wrong with the windows. If they were single pane and you had ordered double pane why not just have Thor take out the single pane windows and put in double pane windows. That should be no big deal as the windows are probably one of the last things to be done to the coach when it is being built. If the size is different then that is a major problem. Good luck with this. I say that it is up to Thor to prove that CW screwed this up otherwise it is their fault

RE: Is this normal? Dealer service question.

Also a lot of mh owners don't want anyone else driving their rig. It is just easier for you to make the appointment with the differant service centers than for them to make appointments for you to take your rig to the center.

RE: Rinnai tankless water heater -

I would say that they aren't approved for use in a rv. They probably haven't been tested to meet the standards necessary for a rv. The lodge model is a horse of a differant color than a rv. I liked them and they were the top recommended tankless water heater to install n houses when I was plumbing.

RE: Camping World, Nashville, TN

The Springfield CW is the last CW I was in we had no problem with service from the staff there. I also wanted to talk to the manager about some stuff. That took a while but that is to be expected when you just stop in and want to talk to the head person. You can't expect them to drop everything to talk to you. That just isn't always possible. As it turned out when I did get the chance to talk to her she took me over to talk to another person to take care of me. Unfortionatly I wasn't able to do the business with them that I wanted to do. Not because of CW but because of the company that I was working for. As with anything you have to check the prices and sometimes CW gets my business and sometimes they don't.

RE: Poor GS Roadside Service

I don't know who GS contracts with in Everrett. I also don't have GS ers I have my roadside assistance through Foremost on my insurance policy. When I had a blowout on I 5 just past the first exit for Everatt I asked them to Les Schaub as that who I had do all my tire work. They came right out and changed my tire. Foremost was just going to try to find someone and they didn't care who. I just wish Les was nationwide.

RE: Forest River Motorhomes RV One Superstores????

If you bought a whirlpool wash machine, took it home and it didn't work what would you do? You would call a whirlpool service center to come fix it. You don't get to tell them how to fix it. You would just let them fix it. This mh is the same way. FR gets has the right and responsibility to fix it. That is the first step in getting the mh fixed. I think that you would be best served by sending the mh back to the factory to be fixed. I would also hope that this many problems would be an exception to the rule rather than the norm. I think that the only FR product I have been in was a park model trailer and the little I saw of it it looked great. Good luck.

I find it kind of interesting that if a complaint is lodged about any company there are always lots of people to knock whatever company it is. When a compliment is posted nobody has anything good to say.

RE: A/C Sparks = Fire Hazard

Why are the fan blades contacting the housing? Maybe the repair shop didn't fix it correctly, I don't know. Something has to have moved that it is now contacting the housing. Maybe the fan bearings are bad in which case I would think that it would be a prpairable fix. Good luck.

RE: The elephant behind the palm tree...

When I park the motor home in a parking lot with the car trailer behind it I would back up to the last parking spot in a row . Put the back end of the trailer just into that spot so nobody could park behind me and I could usually get the space in front if me too. But even if someone was to park infrot of me I could always back up enough to get out. Now withe towing the jeep 4 down I can't back up so I try to park so that I can't be blocked in in the front.
As far as the salute the best story I ever heard about it was told to me by a truck driving buddy of mine. He told me that one time as he was pulling onto the freeway hauling a load of cattle a gentleman in a convertable following him didn't think that he was accelerating fast enough. The guy in the car started around him honking his horn and flipping him off. When he had just about got past the trailer one of the cows inside went to the bathroom and got the driver of the convertable. I guess there was some justice that day.

RE: Need a Water hose under the Sink Slide out?

First off are you sure that the hose is half inch? I would suggest contacting a plumbing supply house to see if they can help you out. I would also suggest getting a stainless steel braided hose for the replacement. The 3/8" line you found will give you enough water to do what you need it to do. For a plumbing supply house I think that there is probably a Furguson Plumbing Supply in your area. They were always helpful to me when I was plumbing. Good luck.
Ron
Another thing that you could do is use Sharkbite fittings and PEX pipe and make your own hose.

RE: Fernley NV Campgrounds

When I got hired at Coffeyville the workcamper HR person sent us a list of campgrounds here. Maybe talk to the person in Fernley to see what campgrounds they have. Here we are staying at one that is just a crossed the road from Amazon and from our rig to the entrance is a mile.

RE: rental trailer

I had assumed that you had checked out the trailer before taking it back home after the first round of warranty work. So then if things weren't fixed correctly not taken it home until it was fixed correctly. I had also assumed that you had gone over the trailer with a fine toothed comb looking for all of the things wrong that needed to be fixed. It seems to me that the problem is with the manufacturer and not necessarily with CW. Good luck with this. I hope that it all works out for you.
The one thing that I didn't think about earlier is if there was a leak somewhere. I hope that that isn't one of your problems

RE: rental trailer

You said that you found out from the manufacturer that the trailer was a rental. Did they give you any proof to back up this claim? If the trailer spent most of last year at the dealer getting warranty work done why wasn't anything said then. You then imply that now you are finally getting a chance to use the trailer. This tells me that the trailer set for the winter, what broke on it that you need more work done to a trailer that you haven't used? This whole story just leaves me with a lot of questions.

RE: Visiting Branson Mo. in June, any sugestions for Rv parking

Since the campground that I was at closed I would suggest Tall Pines. The owner is a real nice guy. I never went by ABC so I can't comment on it. If you are a SKP member Turkey Creek is in Hollister and looked nice. The city Park by the bridge is also nice. If you are a Passport America member there are several parks that give you a good discount. If you aren't a member depending on how many nights you can use it it will pay for itself quickly. At the campground that we were at you could stay for a week. Just do the math. As someone else said Treasure Lake is a great campground and they are a RPI campground so it only costs you $10 a night a great deal. I also think that a month would be a good amount of time to spend in Branson as there is so much to see. A hint if you want discount tickets to things go to Branson 2 for 1. They sell half price tickets and you don't have to go to any time share presentations. If you don't mind the presentations you can get all sorts of free tickets. Also the Branson Guest Card is pretty handy to have. It costs $20 but has discounts all over town. Then if you like Golden Correl they have a free show by Barbara Fairchild Tuesdays through Saturdays at 6 pm. It goes until 7 so you could go to another show afterwards if you want. This show is by donation only so you can pay whatever you feel like paying. I would also recommend The Three Redneck Tenors. Their show is very funny in the first half and great classical singing in the second half. The Dixie Stampede is another good show. We enjoyed it the times that we saw it. If you want to go to a church service a lot of the theaters have free Sunday morning shows. If you want a regular church I liked Friendly Baptist. They are between Hwy 76 and Hwy 265 just off of Hwy 376. I would not recommend taking your rig on that road as it has a 19 percent grade on one end and about a 12 percent grade on the other end. Have fun and enjoy yourself. If you have any questions you can pm me and I will get back to you. I loved Branson but now we are working for Amazon in Kansas so we are gone from there.

RE: Musings in the middle of the night

I think that the idea of the checkout time comes from the hotel motel industry. When we were working in the campground in Branson we had a checkout time but it wasn't a big deal if you wanted to stay later, as long as you were gone before the office closed for the night.
