RE: Camping locations for less

As has been said the monthly rate is the best rate you are going to get , for the most part. That being said RPI is an even better rate. It is 10 or 15 dollars a night depending on your membership. I don't know of any restrictions on them. The next best rate is passport America, but like has been said there are restrictions on it. At the campground we manage if you stay for 2 weeks it is cheaper to pay the monthly rate.

RE: Eastern U.S. vs Western U.S. drivers...??

Saw two Canadians at the Peace Arch Border Crossing in Blaine, Washington, wreck both cars from running into each other several times after one cut the other one off in the border lineup several years ago. Rude ignorant drivers are everywhere. Ron

RE: Mailing of membership cards (funny)

I just have a question. If neither CW or GS have a clue about running a business they could still be in business after all these years? Ron

RE: Why I DIDN'T take my RV to Camping World..........

First off why did the op think that because cw is owned by gs he would get a better price. That is the first thing that doesn't make any sense to me. Then he didn't like the price that they would charge. That is ok. That is why you ask what they will charge. Just because a company is a national chain doesn't mean that they have the best price. I used to buy a lot of lumber. I found that I could get better lumber cheaper from the local lumber yard than I could from Home Depot. So that is where I got it from. Checking prices is what it takes as I haven't seen a company that will tell me who has the lowest prices.

RE: Free Draw Scam At Camping World Burlington WA

years ago my boss and his wife went to the car show in Seattle. She filled out all of the forms to win this or that. He told her that she was wasting her time. Then she got a phone call from the local Mitsubishi dealer wanting to know how what color car she wanted and how did they want to pay the sales tax on the new car she had won. That was the first person I knew personally to win a new car. I had another friend win a new car at the local grocery store grand opening. Therefore I fill out the drawings. Someone has to win and maybe it will be me.

RE: damage camper

Scott, spell check won't help because the words were mostly spelled correctly just not the right words. I have to wonder did he buy this thing site unseen, but then know that he didn't as they at least had a walk through even if he didn't learn how anything worked. I don't understand how he bought this or why he bought this in the shape it was in. Ron

RE: Camping World Shipping to Canada via USPS, an update.

I think that part of the problem is that with ups or fed-ex that camping world can get billed monthly for their shipments. I don't think that the USPS will let them ran a tab, so to speak, but they have to pay for each shipment as they happen. This is just my thinking on this but this would be quite a bit more time consuming and would have to have more people able to pay for the shipping. Also if they only have to pay the ups bill after they get it they could put the shipping costs from their customers into a savings account and get some extra interest on it. Don't if if this is true but it might be a factor in their thinking. What I think might be the easiest thing to do would be to set up a company in the US that camping world ships the orders to that are going to Canada. This company would then accept these packages and mail them to the Canadian companies. I do think though that there might still have to be duties and customs fees due on the things sent to Canada.

RE: Printing From CW Internet site

You can bring up anything you want on the Internet but just because the Internet says that the store hasn't in stock that doesn't make it true. If a computer says something is there but it isn't arguing that the computer says it is there isn't going to make it appear. Every company has this problem as no system is perfect . Ron

RE: Camping World Shipping Charges

What I have found out is to comparison shop what I want or need to get. I also see what the total cost will be from each place before I order. Sometimes I split up where I get things from as to where it is the same item but different costs. I do this for my job also. Ron

RE: Good Sams GMAC vs Progressive

We have Foremost Insurance for full timers on our mh. We have never had a problem with them and the rates have stayed consistent even with our claims. They are associated with Farmers. Ron

RE: Camping World Starts RV Transport Business

I guess that they have been selling rvs since 1984 and been moving the rvs from 1 lot to another. I think that the moving was a differant devision that the sales. Now they are hiring their own drivers rather than subbing the moving out to another company. I don't know if that is what is happening but that makes sense to me. Ron

RE: CW--will they come through?

It doesn't matter what the problem is or how CW is taking care of the problem. What the op said is that if CW follows through with what they said they were going to do then the problem has been resolved and CW is doing their job. Ron

RE: CW Service Ft. Myers

I can understand his personal policy about dealing with customers. As the service manager he has people whose job it is is to deal with the customers. If they are doing their job then he doesn't need to deal with the customer. In a perfect world the service manager shouldn't have to put out fires in the service department with the customers. Ron

RE: Heavier, Longer, and Tighter?

I have also found that if I am turning into or onto a narrow road it is much easier to make that turn be a left hand turn. There is just more room that way. Ron

RE: State Farm gave me ERS for $10 per year!

We have Foremost insurance on our mh. With that we have roadside assistance for a reasonable rate. I have been towed 4 or 5 times and had roadside assistance twice more for tire repairs. They have been very good to use. When they have towed us they also found the place to tow us to. I was then able to talk to the repair shops to make sure that they would be able to do the work. Ron

RE: Big problems at KC camping world.

Part of the story doesn't sound right to me. You ordered the toppers and hardware. You paid for the parts and installation when you ordered the parts. The parts come in and you make an appointment to get them installed. Who did you make the appointment with and didn't you tell them what the appointment was for? You wait a couple of weeks and then go get your rig to go camping. Nothing is asked or said on why the work wasn't done. You then make another appointment to get the work done. I would assume that you would make these appointments with the service department. I would also assume that you would have told the service department that the toppers had been ordered and the installation paid for.you want to pick up the trailer again to go camping again and noe you find out that the service department hasn't been told to put the toppers on. I would assume that the service department is who told you that they hadn't been told to install the toppers. You then go a week later and the service department still doesn't know that they are supposed to install the toppers. This story just isn't ringing true to me. Who did you make the appointments with? Did they know what was supposed to be done? If the service department knew what was to be done to your trailer on these appointments then how could they not know what they were supposed to do? Ron

RE: $50.00

Not much differant than ending a cell phone account early or a sat. Dish contract early. Happened to me. Had been a customer of direct tv for several years but only about 6 months since we got the DVr receiver. Got hit with a high cancellation fee. Not happy but what could I do? Ron

RE: PAID work, PAID campsite, PAID bonuses for all Amazon work

I worked at Coffeyville for 2 months this spring and early summer. I enjoyed the work and the people there. I lost 30 plus pounds there as a picker. If my situation changes I would go back again. I wouldn't mind working at the other centers also.
