RE: Alfa See Ya

From what I've heard, the big problem with some of them was delamation of the side panels. Some have it, others not, but it's a major deal to fix. The company has interesting roots though. Look it up.

RE: Pulling my hair out talking to India!!!!!!!

OK all: Thanks for the replies. To clarify... The Television is a newer one with: The DVD player built INTO the TV on the top. so when I put the DVD in, it goes right into the televisionWhat EXACTLY are you trying to do because it's not very clear? The only reason to be disconnecting the CATV box is to watch the CG cable that obviously doesn't require (or isn't compatible) with your box? If so, take the coax (technically it's not a 'wire') feeding the CATV box and feed it directly to the TV, or go to Radio Shack and buy an 'F' Barrel connector. and bypass the box. If all you're doing is trying to watch a DVD, ignore all of the above and stick the DVD in. Internal or external, DVD's have nothing to do with the cable box. BTW- You stand a way better chance of talking to a real English speaking body in the US if you call during US business hours, and not at night on the weekend. I learned this a long time ago dealing with Vonage. (edit spellin')

RE: What are these? And do they need replacing?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I would agree with finding out just what circuits they are protecting and maybe purchase some spare breakers might be prudent. So, you never change your oil or do any preventative maintenance at all???? Because if it ain't broke don't fix it?????? :h Doug One of your totally predictable and inane comments. He probably right in your case. You actually look at something that seriously damaged, turn around and say leave it? Amazing....

RE: What are these? And do they need replacing?

I'll disagree, it's clearly broke, just because it doesn't show. You simply don't treat electrical components like that and expect them to perform. If they're rusted externally, the crimps are bound to be compromised, and that shell has likely leaked moisture into the breaker. But it's your coach, so listen to who you believe

RE: Killed my solar panels.......

That's a Lucas part you show there... Lucas, AKA the "Prince of Darkness", is the reason the Brits drink warm beer - Lucas builds their refrigerators! :B BTW, nice MGB~ Division of Norcold is it? :)

RE: Killed my solar panels.......

You don't need new diodes. Just remove them then and soak overnight http://i144.photobucket.com/albums/r192/SCVJeff/Smokekit2_zpsa69f17ed.jpg height=300 width=300 Works great.. I read it on the Internet

RE: Killed my solar panels.......

Don't assume that it has to be visually burned or smell like smoke to be dead. You can easily wipe out any silicon junction on the controller by reverse polarity. It's also quite possible that the board has fuses on the logic board protecting the electronics that don't look like fuses at all. Killing a panel might be possible but unlikely.

RE: Pace Arrow engine removal

This HAS been covered here in the past along with pix, so you may find it with a little deep archive searching

RE: Water transfer pump

Dunno what you have so I'll toss this one out from a thread a long time ago. If you have an anti-freeze position where the pump draws from the 1gal containers, drop that siphon into the potable water tank. I'm sure there are other ways, but next I go to the outside shower with a hose jumper built to go from the outside shower faucet and into the street fresh tank fill. Start pump and open the faucet. Takes me around 2 mins to drain a 7gal portable potable jug.

RE: the worse built motorhome you can think of

Gee, I lived with a P-30 chassis for 17 years and had no issues whatsoever. Didn't think much of the 454 exhaust manifolds tho.

RE: is new camper actually new?

It's not new because it was built last November? You haven't noticed that new cars and some trucks are sold 6months+ in the previous year? RV's are no different and often much worse.

RE: NORCOLD 1200 LRIM tech question...UPDATE 1

Well, clearly it burned up.. I assume the lug was on the AC HT blade? Got a good picture of the spade lug? Looks to me like the lug/wire crimp went high impedance. If thats all it is, and it were me, I would wash the board down with Alcohol and an acid brush, dry, re-crimp, and try again
