RE: Windshield replacement

If the person that is getting his windshield replaced would let me know how it turned out I would appreciate it. I had a glass repair shop look at my 3" crack, it was determined that because it was on the curve, it could not be repaired.

Windshield replacement

We just had a stone crack our windshield in Our 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassador. It was done by a mower in our camp ground and they are willing to pay for a new one. Trying to get some idea how much to replace it. It is a one piece.

Hot water pressure

I have 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassedor. When we turn hot water on in any faucet, every so often, there is almost no pressure. We are hooked to outside water. Good pressure on cold side. We did stay in Arizona with high alkali in water.
Can you give me some hints where to start checking.

Ground Fault

We have a 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassedor. When I turn generator on, it blows ground fault and my outlets in all of the coach do not work. After trying reset GF, it will show red light on and not want to reset. But all out lets are working including the GF. I put two GF,s in and it still doesn't work. Is there a special GF for the coach? The ones I have been buying are GE GF from Walmart. Any suggestions on what I could check?

Starting a diesel every 30 days.

I know there is a lot of different opinions on doing this. I checked for the second time with Cummins. They have said it does everything good to do this especially the seals. Cummins said if engine is not started at every 30 days, plan seals going out. Please don't shoot the messenger.

RE: Rocky Mountain Cummins

As they say their is "NO FREE LUNCH" but they fixed it. I did pull some water into air filter and it ended up in the tube that goes to the boost gauge. The water froze inside the tube stopping anything getting to the gauge.

Rocky Mountain Cummins

My wife and I are full timers in our Holiday Rambler Ambassedor. Just came across Loveland Pass in slush snow and ice. Shame on us. Our boost gauge quit working. Long story short, we ended up at Rocky Mountain Cummins in Henderson, CO. I would like to recommend them to anyone having problems with their RV. The tech"Smitty" is the most knowledgeable tech I have ever been around. While we waited, we were served free lunch. The experience was not inexpensive but we were able to get back on the road thanks to Smitty and Rocky Mountain. It is always wonderful to find that kind of service on the road.

RE: Boost Gauge

I know what you mean. I tried to keep a boat alive in the Florida Keys for eight years.

Boost Gauge

I have a 330 HP Cummins in a 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambasador. We just went over a 11,000 foot pass in snow and salt just west of Denver. My low air warning went off even though air was right at 120# When I shut motor home off, low air warning stopped, then my ATC and ABS light came on. Then my Boost guage quit working. Engine running fine all other gauges are normal. After shutting everything off again, all gauges are normal including ATC and ABS. Boost still is not working.
Motor home is full of salt and ice buildup. Any suggestions on what to check? I am at a Cummins dealer, waiting to check things out tomorrow.
Thanks

Passenger Seat

I have a 2006 Holiday Rambler Ambassador with leather seats. We are full time and I use passenger seat every day. Springs rearing out and leather arms showing wear. Is there a company that specializes in rebuilding chairs or replacing with after market chairs? I am sure new ones will cost an arm and a leg.

RE: air not dumping with switch

After hearing about the idling of my engine, I called cummins. They told me it was better to idle it than leave it set. I heard more about that than a fix for the dumping of air problem.

air not dumping with switch

I have a 40ft 2006 Holiday Rambler with 330 cummins 4 slides. I started the coach on the levelers for monthly run of 30 minutes. Air built up as usual. Air does not want to dump with switch. I dumped air with foot brake. Any suggestions why the air doesn't dump from switch?

RE: wrecked my coach, need repair ideas

When I backed into my trailer, we had great luck with Terry LaBonte RV in Greensboro, NC. They did a great job and was recommended by our insurance company. They replaced the radiator and did a lot of fiberglass work. Very satisfied!!!!!!!!
