RE: What did you do to your Class A MH today???
Ordered new stainless steel fuel tank as part of my gas to diesel engine conversion.Do you have to change out the trany as well or will the diesel link up to it.
Given that I am changing from a Chrysler 440 linked to an Allison 545 four speed tranny without overdrive, it was necessary to also change the tranny to an overdrive unit. Diesels operate at a much lower rpm than gas engines so the gearing has to be different.
I am switching to a 2006 Duramax 6.6LTD with a matched 6 speed double overdrive Allison that came with the engine from a donor vehicle. Since I am switching from mechanical/hydraulicly controled systems to electronically controlled systems, all of the wiring and computer stuff is being changed as well. I should complete the project in midsummer.Well good luck with that is sounds like a plate fool.

I don't think I would brave taking my MH into Mexico too many horror stories and especially everything that happening down there. I guess where in México you go to I would not know the good from the bad. But good luck to you on your travels.

Took out my Converter, and ordered a new one as this one is not working at all. Will be installing it myself hopefully next week.
I also cleaned my front curtain and got it back up. It was DIRTY!! We just got it last year and it's a 2001. I took them down and put them in some Oxyclean in the bathtub. The water was rust colored in less then 1 minute. Still a residual of water stains, but holy cow it looks great compared to what it was. We will be washing again at the end of the season.
did it have smoker befor you?

Repainted all of the ugly and faded compartment and entry door handles to match the motorhome. Fleetwood used Sherwin Williams automotive paint. Armed with the color codes, I had Sherwin Williams mix up the paint for me in aerosol cans. I removed all of the handles first, prepped them and applied three coats of paint and three coats of clear coat. I’m really happy with the way they turned out. Below are some before and after photos.

We use a Tandem Tow dolly Which lets us carry two Honda 750 Shadows and a Ford Focus and still within our 5000# hitch limit.

RE: Class A Height
on some of the older MH they don't have basement’s I'm not sure of the overall height but I know that when I park next to one they seem about 2' to 3' shorter. But then you lose a lot of storage space. Just another option.
