As a EB owner Ford should fix his issue, unless there has been abuse. Sounds like he got himself a lemon. My EB has been trouble free for 5000 miles with the exception of the IC condensation issue, and it's only done that once after driving 350 miles nonstop through florida. And if you goose it every 100miles or so its not an issue. Every manufacturer will screw one up now and then. I'm sure Ford will take care of him sooner or later, and if I was him I would try a different dealer.

I scanned thru this with interest since I have an F 250 ordered to yank my 11.5K fifth wheel around.
After scratching the last couple of hairs off my head, I even ordered the 4.30 rear gears.
Then I read what the EB is sposed to handle with the 3.73.
That surprises me.
Yeah, I know talk about confusing. When I saw the post by SeaRayder I was surprised at the loaded weight of the 5th wheel. I was curious if he knew what his gross was and how it was to pull.
I am leaning more toward the F250 just because I am having this mental issue of thinking a 1/2 ton can handle my 9500 lb gross travel trailer.

Agree with most of everything said here. If you are going with a 150, I would definately go with the HD payload. Special order was no big deal, mine was here a month and 3 days after I placed my order, and I love it. Remember, nobody ever said "I wish my truck had less payload"

The EcoBoost is a great little engine, but there is NO WAY ANYONE is getting 17.x mpg pulling a 33' TT with it. 17.x mpg empty (not towing), now that I believe.
Congrats on the new truck though.
Agreed, Love my EB, but no way in hell your going to get 17mpg towing. I call BS...
