RE: Where are you?

Gasman, We are just sitting here at GSSP watching the beautiful sunset, and enjoying the great weather. Spent one week at Escapees in Summerdale and now we will be here til the snow is gone up north, sometime in March or April. Do the Elks have an RV park?

delamination

I guess that's what you call it when you have separation between the outside skin and the wood underneath. We had an outfit that is located just off I 90/91 and highway 51 in Madison Wi. The company is CUSTOM R.V. SERVICES, INC. 608 241 1798. They did an excellent job on the repair. They have parts, accessories and components. If ever in the area in need of repair we would highly recommend this company. They are located near where Wisconsin RV world was located. RV world is no longer in business.::))

RE: surcharges

Thank you for all your responses. I guess that I didn't quite understand what they meant since there is just the two of us and 2 four legged friends.

surcharges

In looking at some of the info for campgrounds I have noticed that at the end of the information rundown they say that there is a surchage, ie...adults $6.00 children $3.00. Is this over and above what you are paying for the night.

RE: Snowbirds and H1N1 Flu

In reference to the H1N1 flu shot, the CDC has now said that they will only have to be giving one shot instead of the 2 shots that they had originally said.

RE: Dish or direct

We have cable in our stick home. When we decided to install somehing in our motorhome we call Directv, told then we wanted to install their product in our MH. No problem, they came out and put the set-up in. There was never a mention that we first had to have them install it in our stick house.

RE: Motosat Dish

We too purchased an Alfa see ya(2002). It has a datastorm/motostat system in it. We do not need the internet part, but would like to keep it for the satellite system. We had direct TV installed and had a dealer install a BOW so that we would be able to get programming. No luck, direct tv said that we have to have a motostat dealer look at it. But so far no one has responded to our requests. Maybe we should just call motostat back and ask if they could ship up the upgrade. We are about at witts end!!!!!!!!!!!!

extended service pland

Currently looking at purchasing and extended service plan and was wondering if there is one that is better than the other. They are pretty pricey so I am hoping for some feedback on some of the ones that are available. Thanks

RE: winter camp site

Check out Gulf Shores State Park in Alabama, lots of new improvements, the weather is decent, lots to do and see and the price per month is great, and it include full hookup with no extra fee for electric.

Afla and Campingworld

We had the problem with our slide a while back. Long story short, the motor had died on the slide. We were at CW in Greenwwod Indiana. we were told that it would take a while for them to order the parts. So DH had seen an article in the Escapee Magazine about getting parts for our Alfa. Called the alfateers rv service at 909 428 6775, and spoke to Martin. Told him of our problem, told me he had all the parts on hand, had them sent FedEx overnight and had them the next day. Asked Mark at CW if they would be able to install the parts, and he told me that normally they would not. but that in this case they would do it for us. As soon as the parts had arrived Vinney installed them and we were on our way that afternoon. A very big and well deserved thank you to both Martin at alfateers rv center and Mark and his crew at CW in Greenwood who gave us exceptional service.

motostat

Purchased a used class A and it has a motostat for the internet. Is there any market out there for a used unit like this. We have no need for one and would like to do away with it and the big dish on the roof

sat tv

Read all the pages on this forum and I still need help. Purchased a 2002 class A with a whole lot of electronics in it and not much info. We called Directv and they came out today and will come back the first of the week to finish their install. Told us that we are not able to get HDTV because of the set-up we have, is this a problem with other class A's. Have a King Dome, a SatCom Passport MDBS-AA2000, and a MotoStat. Is the motostat only for a computer and the internet. So much equipment for this ole timer to figure out. We also have a dish in the storage area, caller a traveler. Thanks in advance
