RE: Deteriorating aluminum roof what to do?

For $300 and a lot of time I could replace the roof. That would be the ultimate right fix, but not what I was wanting to tackle at this time. The dicor and sealant idea sound like a winner thanks for the replies.

RE: Deteriorating aluminum roof what to do?

never mind about the liquid roof. That stuff may be good but a little rich for me. It would cost $300 to coat my roof. Any cheaper ideas out there?

Will this liquid roof fill the holes?

Deteriorating aluminum roof what to do?

I have notices some small holes in my aluminum roof of my 1978 reallite all the hole are less than the size pencil eraser. Holes appear to be from roof just deteriorating/ corroding. What should I do? caulk, patch with aluminum sheets, patch with eternabond tape? Just looking to know what others have do in this situation. Its a $800 camper not looking to put a new roof on although I can if that is the only solution.

RE: What a deal I had to tell someone who will understand.

So I have been looking for a 4th jack for my old real lite and didn't want to spend $150 on a single new one as the camper only cost $800. Finally found a set of 3 for sale a the guys wants a $100 and suppose to be like new. So I go to check them out with $100 in hand. I get there and the guys is not lying they are still shiny and new been used once still in original box reico titan 1000 lb jacks. I didn't even try to haggle. I never find deals like this. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Advertising for sale items not allowed. Wayne Moderator Sorry I never read the rules. Just trying pass on the good deal I got.

RE: TorkLift Stableload vs Airbags vs Timbrens?

I made my own stable loads out of dock bumpers you attach to the back of a trailer. I cut them in half and they already hole to bolt them on with. It cost $25 total and they work great. I wish I would have bought some thicker ones but they work. I'm sure stable load may be great product, but $150 for some rubber seems steep. like these http://www.easternmarine.com/molded-rubber-bumper-1-pair-b5760

RE: Thank you everyone

I have the 3 jack system on my 1977 10' real lite (about 2500lb with out water). They are Rieco-Titan Camper Tripod Jacks no cables. The best advice I can give is leave your water tanks empty (till your loaded) and keep your camper elevated close to the height of your truck bed so you're not raising it much to put it in your truck. Keeps the pucker time to a minimum. I keep mine at 30" off the ground so I only have to raise it 6" to load it up. Make sure and keep support under it when elevated to help the jacks out and for stability. You will get more comfortable with it after you load it a couple times.

RE: stable lift used

I have been looking for a used one for about 6 months now, I would pay $1200.00-1500.00 right now if I could find one. Even if it's over 15 years old? I was thinking under $500 more like $300 I only paid $800 for my 35 years old camper.

stable lift used

I found a used stable lift two jack system that I might be interested in. It's about 15 years old and is suppose to work. Any idea what something like this is worth? I know new the cost over $2000 Can they be rebuilt if the hydraulics fail?
