No we went to the Franklin Institute for the day and found out after we got there that teh World Championship Trophy was there.
We only had to wait about 15 minutes in line. We had seen people waiting in line about an hour and fifteen BEFORE the photo session started. We aren't big Philly fans and knew we wereen't going to wait that long for a photo. We went out to the car for a picnic lunch and when we came back we decided we'd try getting in line.

Morning All! Can't wait to start camping! Went out to the camper to give it the once over to see what needs to be worked on.
I want to give it a good solid cleaning and make sure everything is ship shape for camping.

Jon's Birthday today. Had a party for him on saturday.
Today he fell at school and needs stitches under his chin... :(
Barb and her Mom are taking him to the hospital right now.

Only if you like warm weather, blue skies, sunshine, sandy beaches with warm breezes waving the palm trees. Other than that, it's really boring here.

We try to go for design, rather than speed. out of the 50 cars that raced, the difference between 2nd and third place for speed was 1/1000th of a second.

Happy New Year!!
Just a few snowflakes here!
Boys started back to school today, Barb is substitue teaching, she was offered a position as permanent sub, menaing she goes in everyday unless they don't need her, which is good that we don't get called at 5:00am everyday and she knows what school she will be teachin at for the day. She interviewed the other week for a long term sub position, several teachers will be on maternity leave this spring and expressed a HUGE desire to be a candidate for a Full-time teaching position. Jon's kindergarten teacher will be retiring at teh end of this year.
Keep your fingers crossed!
This week is pinewood derby week. Working on CW's pinewood car. We decided to try to go for most unique car! We'll show you pics later this week. Race is on Saturday.
Jon has been rocking out with his Guitar Hero and playing with his RC car. He is anxiously awaiting camping again.
