RE: Tips Driving in Ice and Snow

When going down hill on ice ,your drive gear will cause you to slide,go to neutral and look in the direction you want to go and you will straighten out and go there. Works on any slippery surface.

RE: Strangest use of Class A

We used our coach as a flower center for pick-up and delivery to help a friend for Mothers Day. Her husband died just a few weeks before. They ran the flower store together for years.

RE: RV fires? Anyone have one?

When my coach was 1 year old,I was heading down the mountain, only 30 min. from home, when we smelled something burning. I couldn't pull over for 10 more min. due to mountain on right side and 100's drop on the other side. Smoke was pouring out from the generator area. I slid the generator door open and saw flames everywhere. I had just installed a hose with sprayer for cleaning my windshield . So I was able to spray water and put the fire out. About 3 bundles of wire burned. I'm an electrician,so I was able to splice and tape all the wires and be on our way. The cause was a 3/0 cu wire feeding the generator was caught between the corner of the generator and the frame. All the bouncing down the mountain shorted the wire and caught the other wires on fire.

RE: Calling all firefighters.............

I was a crash firefighter in the Navy at HT-8 Pensacola,Fl. from 62 to 66. 1967 I went through Miami Fire Colledge. I was at station 1 Miami for a year. I decided to become a union electrician in 1968 and was accepted at that time. The union would not let me be a fireman and electrician at the same time. I had 3 years of Industrial Electricity in high school,4 hours a day. A hard choice,I decided to be an electrician.

RE: Just how bad does the toad get dinged behind a Class A?

I've towed my PT Cruiser for 55,000 miles with the full mud flap accross the back of the coach. The PT is a mess. My windshield is pitted so bad, when the sun hits it,you can barely see through it. I took the full mud flap off and put protect a tow on. Also added mud flaps behind rear duals. Now the PT stays clean. I wish I had known about protect a tow 8 years ago.

RE: mudflap or

I had the 500 dollar solid mud flap accross the back of my TS.After 2 years the front of my PT Cruiser was a mess. My windshield needs replacing. I took the TS mud flap off.I put regular mud flaps behind each set of duals and protect-a-tow between the back of the coach and the PT Cruiser. It has made a big difference since.

RE: Selecting a new refrigerator: Dometic RM3962/Norcold N1095?

My Dometic quit for the third time over the last 7 years. I replaced it with a residential Whirlpool from Lowes. Fit the space perfect. And a lot more room. Bought baby lots for the doors while traveling.
