RE: Foxfi ap - Andriod

I had the thunderbolt foxfi worked with that phone
I now have the nexus and foxfi works on that phone
you do have to set it up
then scan for it with the laptop
for blue tooth you have to pair the phone and the laptop
I've had poor luck with blue tooth
yea thunderbolt has to go bluetooth route and does not seem to be working right for me.

RE: Foxfi ap - Andriod

You follow the instructions for FoxFi on the phone to get the hotspot going, set the SSID, and WPA password, then on the laptop you search for available wireless networks. Pretty simple stuff. FoxFi does not work on some phones though, like all HTC phones, make sure yours is compatible....
I have HTC Thunderbolt. But it still says it should work with bluetooth.

RE: Foxfi ap - Andriod

FoxFi is a wireless hotspot for Android. You should be connecting with WiFi from your laptop. Have you tried that?
Do i have to manually setup the wifi connection bc i dont see it under wireless connections?

Foxfi ap - Andriod

Since cant connect direct with a droid i had to take bluetooth route.
So i got the blue tooth usb chip for my laptop and hooked it all up. Downloaded a couple drivers that were needed and the bluetooth function seems to be working correctly ( i can listen to music, makes calls from my phn through laptop). Now when i go to devices on my laptop and i see audio options and headset and speakphone options but dont see where i can connect online as Foxfi shows in the setup. Anyone else using bluetooth option with success?

RE: Where to place and secure my Honda EU2000's when in use?

I cable lock both of mine to bumber, like said above if they want them they will take them by cutting the handle but will keep most honest with cable lock. At night i often make trips out to check on them.

filling up Honda 2000i with gas

I just picked up 2 Honda 2000i and curious is there a trick to filling these things with out spilling gas everywhere? They have such small opening for gas makes it difficult! Also sometimes when pouring, gas will hit the filter screen in the honda tank and kinda splash back out. My gas tank doesn't have flexible spout which i think is making things a little harder for me. Are you guys using a certain kind/brand of gas tank? Is the no-spill brand any good? I pretty much stuck with carrying at least 5gal tank of fuel for the weekend. Sucks having to pour fuel in so slow that takes 10min of holding 5gal tank to fill all the way up while trying not to spill.

Winegard Carryout Manual Antenna -MP1

Looking at getting a regular portable dish setup for my direct tv. Is this Winegard GM-MP1 Carryout Antenna any good and worth the money, seems like it has mixed reviews. Or should i buy one of these packages you see on ebay? Ive got about $200 to play with for a dish setup, dont need HD or nothing special. I would appreciate any help/info, thanks!

RE: leaking canvas

Did you clean the bunk ends with any chemical cleaners? If so, the material will lok fine and shed most rain, but without a reseal, water can wick through the material.
We tried to clean certain areas that had some stains, and yes i was thinking about that while it was raining. But it didn't seem to only affect the areas we cleaned. When you say reseal, you meaning just the seams or is there something to treat the whole thing with?

RE: leaking canvas

thanks guys! Ill try some sealer around the seams. As far non seam leaks maybe bikendan is correct, maybe it was just condensation building up so quick that started to drip and run down? I didn't have any vents open and was running the heat some. Its a 1999 model and dont think it had been used much when i bought it.

leaking canvas

After repairing some sections of flooring and a lil TLC here and there we went out on out 1st trip with out Aerolite F19 cub to my daughter dirtbike race. It started to down poor about 8pm at night and i figured well this is gonna be our leak test lol. After a couple hours of hard rain sure enough the canvas started to weep water along the seams and in certain spots along the canvas( was not just seam leaks). The canvas is in pretty good shape by the looks of it and i got to admit it was ALOT of rain. The bed was only wet in few spots after a all night rain, mainly where mattress touch the canvas. Is it normal to leak like this under a heavy rain or should i think about maybe getting the canvas replaced. Sometime at these races we dont have a choice on what weekends we can camp and sometime encounter bad weather and would like to know were gonna keep dry under rainy conditions. What are my options and about how much would cost to get the canvas replaced? Thanks!

RE: Soft spot on floor

need to peel that flooring up, it wont ever fully dry out bc cant breathe! I just replaced 2 sections in mine. It didn't look wet, but when i pulled it up it was all wet underneath and i saved some flooring by doing so, allowing it to dry out. Then i cut out and replaced the flooring and found the previous leak on the roof that was running down to flooring. Laid some vinyl tile and all looks real good!
