RE: At mud nationals carbon monoxide detector going off

I did wonder about the slides and seals. We are home. Everyone was in agreement (a bunch of you know good old country boys with RVs and beer so take this as you wish :) ) that the detector was extra sensitive and the source was the low exhaust pipe by the slide. DH and a guest took the detector off the wall and we went old school and vented every room. (I wasn't thrilled-- worried confusion was setting in and having them do something dumb like remove the source of the alarm. This is how it went). I am first going to buy a household CO2 detector with a readout on the monitor. Second, we are getting a genturi. We will go from there. Dh only dry camps one a year for mud nats (my first time) and maybe one other time during the year. This may change, though, because the Fuzion (other than the whole thing with the CO2) held up beautifully. We had "the good bathroom" so our black tank saw a lot of traffic and we made it from Wednesday (less people) to this morning (less people) and the black tank was fine. Everyone used the water stopper on the shower head and we cooked and sparingly did dishes and we had to add 30 gallons at the end for that last round of showers. (We had 6 taking showers but a few of them were on an every other day schedule). Thanks again. Just make sure you vent the Genturi above the roof line. Just my .02

RE: At mud nationals carbon monoxide detector going off

Only time our alarm went off was using a Genturi. Even extend above the roof line. I cleared the coach and opened the generator door and that helped. Wind was strong that weekend end and it was the last camping adventure with sxs. The seals on the slides are not air tight so it could slowly making it way in from there.

RE: 2014 Keystone Fuzion 331 - air antenna booster button?

Mines in the bedroom closet, look in there. I should say that ours is 2010 though.

RE: pros and cons of toy hauler

Thank you for the feedback. Definitely gave us a few more things to think about. We are planning to go to Pittsburgh RV show, and hopefully we can narrow down options a little more. Are you from the Pittsburgh area? Im located north of Pgh.

RE: Warranty

I got an EW from the dealer. Did some bargaining and got it down to 1700.00 dollars. In the four years of owning our Fuzion its has paid for itself already. At the end of our season last year my slides were acting funny when bringing them back in. Wound up having to replace the mother board for the coach. Really a hit and miss chance on having an EW. Great if you have it and need it, wasted money if you don't need it.

RE: Hauling ATV In Truck Bed

Instead of leaving it in the bed, leave it attached to the hitch on the trailer. Disconnect from the bed, raise the nose of the trailer and drive away. Leave the hitch there and when you come back just back in, release the hitch and adjust and lock in place. Exactly what I was gonna say. If you're gonna carry any lumber at all, I'd support the hitch when still hooked to king pin.

RE: cant decide which brand

If you are a serious racer I would look elsewhere than the rv industry for a race trailer. I would look at regular race trailers with living quarters or even a toterhome if you are a serious racer that does a lot of traveling. ' For casual racers that also want to take regular trips I would say most of the brands are all the same as far as build quality. Just find the floor plan, graphics and features you want. They all build lemons and they all build decent ones. Just luck of the draw. Good advice!

RE: First camp in fuzion 342 questions

Did they do a walk thru with you when you picked up the trailer?

RE: Adding either electric or Manual jacks in front of tires

The JT strong arms are really great plus X chocks and the unit is very solid. This is what I run on my Fuzion also. The strong arms are great. I also use adjustable slide stands under my slide and coach is very solid now.

RE: weekend warrior help

Hate to say it but I'd move on and keep looking. Had an FB2100 and nothing but problems. Whole front end cap was coming apart and off.

RE: We finally bought a Fuzion 342!

Sounds like you'll be staying in the driveway the first couple weekends then. Little pre-camping shake down. Good luck with the coach.

RE: Is there a toy hauler with a front window?

Most front window toy haulers are for front kitchen models. Personally I don't like them in the front as they are prone to water leaks. Just ask me how many times the front window on my WW FK19 has leaked. I'll never buy another front window again... How many times did it leak? My whole WW FB2100 leaked

RE: voltage 3800 problems

Wife and I were out last fall at a campground enjoying the weekend. I seen this person really looking and admiring his voltage. Spoke with him and he was really upset. First weekend out with it and slides were not going back in. He had his salesperson personal cell number and called him. Long story short, salesperson was on his way with a tech person to pick up the trailer for repair.Dealer was located a mile or so away from campground. Guy told me dealer setup and paid for the weekend to workout any bugs with the coach. I would say they still have issues on quality control. That dealer probably has spots at the campground just for this purpose. Hit and miss with the Voltages I guess.

RE: 2015 Weekend Warrior At Giant RV

I hope the newer ones are built better than the older ones. You couldn't give me another one. Bought an 07 in 06 and by 010 is was literally coming apart. Even with its frame stiffener. No way in hell...
