I went home and pulled all the wires off the control board in the compartment where the genset and batteries are, and then reconnected them and it worked. Was able to lift it off the truck, and then I went through and did the auto level just to make sure everything worked. It did.
I reconnected my truck and headed to where I keep it. When I got there, it did the same thing!! Ugh.......tried to do the same thing with the control board and nothing. My local dealer is just up the road so I went down there and one of their techs came out and took the keypad unit apart and unhooked the wires from that unit, and then reconnected it, and it worked. So I drove back to storage place, and was able to lift it off the truck but again got the same error.....double UGH......I called the dealer and he is going to try and get it in tomorrow. I also called Lippert and they said it might be the rear sensor unit that is defective or has a short.
At least its all under warranty, but we have a race this coming weekend and need the trailer. Oh well. Not much I can do at this point. The system has been awesome so far.....just one of those things I guess. For as much as we use the Voltage (which is 2-3 times a month..sometimes more) it has been solid. Hardly any issues to speak of, and the minor issues have been dealt with swiftly, no questions asked. Even though I didn't buy it locally, the service has been spectacular.
We have a 2013 Voltage 3950 that we bought last summer. Have put about 6000 miles on it so far and it has been fantastic. Minor issues. We returned back from a race this weekend and the Level Up system kept giving me an "external sensor error.
Each time I turn on the control panel, it beeps and gives the error and I can't get any of the other functions to work so I can't unhitch the beast from my truck!! UGH!! According to the manual an external sensor error is a "bad connection to rear remote sensor"
Has anyone had this issue? Where would I look for the connection? The system has worked flawlessly since we bought it. Never had an issue. Tried for about 30 minutes to get the error to go away to no avail. Wanted to post here before calling my local dealer.
