RE: Update from the Road and Question

Don't have the answer to the water question (I've never tried that) but the roof vent would be a duct tape fix until replaced....haha. Good looking pic of your Truck & TT. Enjoy your trip and safe travels to you!

RE: How Much Stuff Do You Bring for a Weekend Trip?

We've had a few of those to over the years. At that point there's nothing to do but pour a strong one, sit back, and watch the circus!

RE: Boats are RV's?

Years ago there was a guy who camped in the infield of the Daytona 500 in an approx. 24 foot boat. Towed it in and parked it just like a RV.

RE: EcoBoost problems on the Horizon...:?

I've only had mine for a short period of time and have not experienced a problem. If there is a issue, I would like to think (hope) Ford will address it, and do the right thing for the owners. I would hate to think I left Toyota for a lemon!

RE: Towing with a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4WD

We had a 2000 GMC Safari van with the 4.3 V6 that we used to pull our 19' Hybrid. Never left the state of Florida (stayed in the flats) and it did OK. I think you are asking that GMC to do to much.

RE: How much do you need?

We have the Rino and a ten foot extension that I've used once. Stayed at one camp ground that I needed more that 25' of water hose. On board water filter, but if not I would use the in line ones that attach to the hose. A green outdoor carpet (10x15) that I bought / had cut at Home Depot when I bought the T.T. Easily transported even if wet in the truck bed. You will probably always be within driving range of a Wal-mart / Dollar store, etc, so don't worry about it. Most importantly ....ice cold beer and comfortable outside chairs.....lol

RE: CampingWorld has lost another Customer and refs for life!

There are are certain elements of our society who buy giant TVs prior to Super Bowl, buy generators, chain saws, pole saws, etc before the big storm......clothes for the big party.........use them, and return as soon as they're "done" with them. To the poster who works at the outdoor power center. I wonder how many times you've spent time explaining and educating shoppers about equipment only to have those now educated shoppers go home to order online, from some business who does not employ anyone?

RE: Conditons heading south after Christmas

After 5 yrs in campgrounds, we've settled into hotels. Most campgrounds aren't opened; those that are have limited sites and charge full price; it is cold setting up and breaking down. There are hotels along any route that have restaruants, bars, RV parking and indoor pools. Much nicer to just get out after a long day on the road and proceed into a nice warm room, have a good meal, a drink or two, then a dip in the pool with no need to break down a campsite in the cold the next morning. Just my two cents worth ..... camp on! I do not make these type trips, but if I did.......^^ sounds like the best plan.
