Looking for information from someone that camps there as to good sites, etc. Prefer private sites, away from playground or playing fields. Thanks!
RE: Towing with a Mercury Mariner/Ford Escape
Thanks Joe. I think I would have the dealer do the deed to be sure that the warranties were not jeopardized. When I go look at the vehicle next week, I'll ask all of those questions. My Vue has been been a much better tow vehicle than my '03 Grand Cherokee, although my '00 Cherokee was fine. I have no plans of getting a bigger trailer so I'm assuming the Mariner should work. It doesn't have quite as much hp but it is a bit lighter than the Vue.
RE: Towing with a Mercury Mariner/Ford Escape
Good Grief guys! I was hoping someone towing with one of these could respond. In looking at the tow pkg on line, some sites say it is just a hitch and wiring, others say a tranny cooler comes with it. Ford site doesn't say. My Vue does not have a tranny cooler, just stock rated to tow 3500 lbs. Wondering if the Mariner would need to have a tranny cooler added, which I kind of hesitate to do. I'll check in with the dealer when I go to look at it, but I don't put much stock in answers when they're trying to sell a vehicle.
Towing with a Mercury Mariner/Ford Escape
Anyone towing with one of these vehicles/ v6 model? Would like some input. I have a small travel trailer, about 2,000 lbs. I've been using an '07 Saturn Vue with V6 that has handled it very well. Looking at a 2010 Mariner. Thanks.
