RE: Milliamp Chasers (you know who you are)

Good victory! Since the LCD clock is still functioning, does the channel memory also hold? If so, expect a call from the Nobel people.:W I installed a switch on our radio also because the light was so bright at night. With the "ignition" wire switched to the battery it works just like it would in the car. Turn the ignition off, the light goes out but all memories hold.

RE: January weekend camping in a State Park with full hook ups

We were at Elk Neck for New Years with the Mid Atlantic Campers. We camp in a Hybrid so I use 2 heaters. One in the bath and one on the tv counter. I used NO propane to heat the trailer even when the temps dropped down to the mid 20's.

RE: E-15 Gas

I have always chuckled when I read comments from the ethanol haters. I live in the corn belt and 10% ethanol blend has been the way of life longer than I can remember. You cannot find non-ethanol fuel around here-period. Guess what, my mowers, snowblower, tiller, weed eater, boat, generator, motorcycle and all three vehicles start every time I need them to. I have never had an engine failure nor have I ever spent 1 dime for a fuel related repair. Matter of fact, I don't know of anyone in my family that has had an issue. Either we have bought some exceptional equipment and vehicles or the whole ethanol problem is blown way out of proportion. Manufacturers have known for years that ethanol is here to stay. If they can't make products that run well on it, they need to find a new business. 4 or 5X I lost count; I started running E10 back in the late 80s in my work trucks and play trucks and I have never had a problem with any of them and they all have had well over 100K on all of them when I sold them. I also use it in all my motors including a trencher, mowers, outboards and generators with no failures. Here's a little true story; I got a Honda 650 watt generator form my sister that didn't run. I had to take the carburetor apart and clean all the varnish out that was left behind form straight gas evaporating out of it. It ran but I had to clean it out a few more times to keep it running. I could never get the shutoff to stop leaking because I figured there was also varnish in it. I started running E10 in it and after the second or third tank the shutoff started working and has every sense, that was 4 years ago. E10 does a great job cleaning up your fuel system and keeping it clean and I can't tell any difference in mileage between E10 and straight unleaded in our truck, I have never seen E15 yet so I have no experience with it. Denny Interesting! I have a Honda pressure washer and lawn mower, If I run E10 and don't drain ALL the fuel out before letting them sit, I HAVE to disassemble and clean the carburetors! The carbs aren't blocked with varnish, they are blocked with what appears to be green algae to gray sludge. If I run "pure" gas I have NO problems after sitting for 3 to 6 months. It's a known fact that alcohol absorbs moisture. It's also been proven that, if let sitting, the alcohol will separate from the gas. Maybe it's our high humidity mixed with the E10 that causes the problem.
