RE: First time camping with our 1 year old; any advice????

We took our 1 yr old granddaughter on vacation for 12 days with us. We put her pack 'n play on our bed in our bedroom when it was naptime or bedtime (and we wanted to stay up). During the night we would move her (and the pack 'n play) into the living room. I always get up 1-2 times at night, so I just checked in on her and made sure she was covered up. Our coach would get down to 60 degrees at night, and our granddaughter wore long pants and long sleeved cotton shirt. She was comfortable, and the trip was a success. Good luck with your endeavor. It's definitely a challenge when their that young.

RE: ? For six speed Allison guys

I have an 06 duramax And have found that if you leave in drive on tow haul until about 40 mph and then kick off tow/Haul even towing you are ok.Do not leave in tow haul the entire time you are towing as your fuel mileage drops considerably.Manual shift is REALLY good on 6% grades and such but not needed otherwise.I tow 40 feet and approx 15,500 loaded.

RE: Rhinoflex hose

T Bone We now have rhino flex hose after using two other brand name hoses after five years plus of rv'ing. We are firm beleivers in the product,However the only downfall is as you stretch the hose out it slowly twists so you have to accomodate with the connection at the coach or at the ground. Not a big problem but different than other hoses. We feel the stiffness of the hose is a major plus as it will last alot longer than most hoses.Probably opinbionated but we feel it is the best out there at this time.Almost one hundred days use in a little over two years use and no problems. The others that we had I cannot say that.

Propane campfires

We have been considering purchasing a propane campfire as there are many rv parks that dont accomodate with fire rings anymore. We understand why with dry weather and the sorts causing restrictions. We are looking at the Firedancer, little red campfire, campfire in a can.I know little red campfire has a locking lid which is a plus when traveling.campfire in a can appears to be able to produce larger flames and is pricier compared to the others.,firedancer is receiving rave revues but doesn't appear to have a locking lid to hold everything together when in transit. And on most websites they want more money for the fake logs.We would appreciate some input from others as to what they purchased and why,Are you happy with what you have and why? Hopefully the info will help us to make an informed purchase that we won't regret.

RE: Anyone else having trouble getting financing for new RV???

This seems kind of interesting to me considering I'm reading on the internet that RV sales are high right now. Here's a story that I read. Good luck to those of you who are trying to purchase an RV. I would think that this would be the time to be buying with prices so low and the economy needing a boost.

Cheyenne WY

We've just reserved our tickets for George Strait during the Cheyenne Frontier Days in July. Can anybody give us some feedback on a nice RV Park to stay in or near Cheyenne? As you can see in our sig we need big rig friendly. Thank you in advance.
