RE: Panellas Trail

Oh my....don't like snakes either. I'm anxious to go on the 16th. Hope the "love bugs" are not there at that time. Great information. Thank you.

RE: Dunedin, Florida

Yes, we like art shops. Trying to figure out if it is possible to ride our bikes to a Columbia Restaurant from the Pinellas Trail without to much variance.

RE: Panellas Trail

We plan to ride until we are exhausted and then bike back to our campground. We would like the campground to be adjacent to the campground, however I did not realize they had a bus service. We have biked Winter Garden both ways and I have heard Panellas is much nicer. I checked out the KOA in St Petersburg and a campground called the Dunedin RV Resort. I would like to go to the Columbia in Ybor City. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Panellas Trail

Now that we have decided to bike the Florida Pinellas Trail, where would be the best RV Park for being right next to the trail and yet be near restaurants and shopping?

Dunedin, Florida

After some research and input from this forum, we have decided to put Okeechobee Fl away and visit Dunedin Florida. Mainly because of the Pinellas Trail. Any recommendations or input for Dunedin,
would be greatly appreciated.

Okeechobee Florida

Hubby wants to get out of town for a couple of days. Is there anything exciting to do in Okeechobee Fl. Any recommendations would be welcome. We like restaurants, entertainment and dancing. We like to bicycle. I was thinking of staying at the KOA, but I am open.

RE: help with pictures

I had the same trouble and someone gave me this info. It worked for me
Open it in Paint, Click on Image, and click on Resize and skew. This will allow you to shrink it with out losing to much clarity. Resave it and try again. You may need to do this a few times to get it right.

RE: Help us plan our trip! Update : looking for ocean stay help

I love WV for its scenery, zip lines, rafting, hiking, camping. You could visit Cass Railroad and ride the train up the mountain, Beckley has a wonderful Coal Mine Exhibition....The Greenbriar Hotel has the "Bunker Tour". New River Gorge in Fayetteville WV is a must see and stay.

RE: GPS

Where do you get the US maps showing where you have traveled???
I guess I will have to go to a GPS website. I prefer looking at the GPS, but 5 mph over is quite significant since I usually drive 5 mph over anyway on Florida's Interstate.

GPS

I have a Sprinter Van. I use my GPS as a speedometer. Is this wise, because many times there is a 2 - 5 mph difference?

RE: SUMMER ROADTRIP

My favorite website for getting reviews on restaurants and things to do is www.tripadvisor.com I will list only a few places we have visited in our short time RVing. Historical Ybor City, Florida Columbia Restaurant...great floor show and food. There is also a Columbia Restaurant in St Augustine. Plant City, Florida Hunt's Oyster Bar if you like oysters. Sanibel Island, FL has only one campground and it was great. Nice seashell museum. We rode our bikes everywhere if you are into that. Winter Park, Fl has a great campground (Encore) and we rode our bikes to the historical area and there is a 26 mile bike trail that runs through several towns as well as a great Saturday Market. Lovely Baptist church and every third Saturday is a great classic car show. Best place to eat is the Tasting Room or the Chef's Table. Ft Pierce, Fl is beautiful and would recommend 12 A Buoy, Ramp, Chucks, and Archies depending on what you are looking to eat. The Seal Museum (on the ocean) is there and the town has some lovely sculptures and art . If you go, be sure to see the sculpture at the City Building and the Arcade murals are my favorite. Beckley WV, to New River Gorge Bridge. Marietta OHio, lovely river town. Austyne's is my favorite restaurant and the Brewery (I think). You are living my dream. Have fun !

RE: Temporary or permanent bathroom in a RT 190?

Definitely a permanent bathroom. My hubby spends alot of time in there and I would be like a caged animal if the aisle was blocked. He still leaves the doors open sometimes, but I can squeeze through.

RE: What inspired you to start RVing?

We always traveled with our elderly cat. We got tired of trying to find clean accomodations that would take her as well. Our Class B is the best thing that has ever happened, for our elderly cat and for our marriage.
