RE: Easy Outdoor Dutch Oven Recipes?

congrats on the DO.... whatever you can cook in your oven or on your stove top you can cook in a Dutch Oven. just keep cooking.... get on the internet for the International Dutch Oven Society and look for local chapters, there is always some type of cook out every weekend. If it is close go and watch and ask questions.

RE: Using the RV toilet on the road

You will get the hang of it, but even experienced RVers have issues every now and then.
Keep a journal of your trips... list all the things that happen, good and bad and list what you forgot to bring.
As stated, make a check list for hooking up and unhooking. Follow the list and verbally tell the other that item is done. I camp by myself and I have forgotten thing.. made my list and I have not had an issue since. Good Camping will stay with you and your family for a lifetime.

RE: First weekend out - first oops with the new 5er

Had my son watching me back into drive when I first got the 5er... told him to watch the mark on the driveway and tell me to stop.... he missed the mark and I collapsed the ladder on the roof over hang.... a little bending and some 80 psi tubing 8 screws and better than new.... lucky it did not pull screws loose from back of 5er but I did remove them and resealed with silicone.

RE: Super Excited - Got my TV

Congrats..... I know you are excited..... Don't be in a hurry to find a 5er. Look as much as you can and try to find one that has the double pane windows an heated underbelly/basement. Post some pictures....
Go as big as you can afford and that you feel comfortable pulling...

RE: **Help** 2004 CrossRoads Cruiser Pin Weight

Sorry Folks. It was the 29rk. I managed to get an answer form another forum I posted in so that I could share it here and there. Here is the answer:
2004 CF25RS 1185 lbs
2004 CF26RK 1465 lbs
2004 CF27RL 1450 lbs
2004 CF28BH 1450 lbs
2004 CF28CK 1460 lbs
2004 CF28RL 1820 lbs
2004 CF29RK 1555 lbs
2004 CF30BH 1615 lbs
I have the 2006 RK and love it.. I forgot what my pin weight was but it was closer to 1800 loaded if I remember correct. But I have CRS so not sure... Take your truck to the scales, weight it with full fuel and add the approximate weight of the stuff/passengers that will be in the truck when towing. Then hook up the 5er and weigh it again, you will see the rear wheel weight and sub track the unhooked rear wheel weight from the loaded weight and you will know what your pin weight is.
BTW Congrats on the Cruiser...

RE: Furnance Not staying on!

Same thing just happened on my uncles's trailer. Also, we noticed the full tanks (we had them filled) wouldn't push the little glass up into the green. Replaced the regulator, problem solved.
I had the same problem.... the crossover valve was bad....

RE: Where to hook breakaway cable?

I had this happen to me in April, making a hard right turn and the cable got caught under the corner of the bed rail.... sudden stop,
I had to pull hard to get the cable loose, and then insert it back into the brake. It is not fun.... service road on I35 in Georgetown a lot of unhappy drivers...
So question is where did you get the coiled cable?
