RE: RV Flooring Relative Weights

The carpet I removed was 2 lbs per sq. ft. 40 ft = 80 lbs. The flooring I installed was 3 lobs per sq ft. Additional weight = 40 lbs. I've never understood the concern about weight. I travel from Florida to California every year. Sometimes there are 2 people and sometimes 4 people. The 2 extra people add about 325 lbs. There has been no difference in MPG.

RE: Zep Wet Look miracle

I also decided to test this wet look stuff. The results are unbelievable. I stopped after the 3rd coat. It looks like a mirror. After seeing the result on my RV, I applyed one coat to a small corner of my old oxidized red ford van. It looks like new red paint. I'm going to do the entire van.

RE: Red Max Pro Questions

I purchased "The Wet Look" at Lowes. My old RV realy needs a new paint job, but that's a little to costly for me. I've applyed 3 coats so far. The results are unbelievable. It was much easier than waxing. Some areas look like new. Time will tell how long it will last. I had to do it. My old work van has very oxidized paint. Waxing brings it back a little. I washed a very small bottom panel and applied one coat of "The Wet Look". The paint looks like new. If it holds up on the RV, I'll do the entire van. Probably should have done the van first.

RE: Tiling the shower ~ hassle or easy DIY?

Yes, you can tile your fiberglass shower pan. It would be waterproof and flexible forever. I would have to see a photo of the defect to tell you if tiling is a good option. "For the moderator" I am retired. I own no part of any company and I am not compensated for any sales. You will however see my name all over the web sites that sell materials, because I am the person that developed the materials and process for tiling surfaces that flex. My technical advise is available to anyone for free. In the past 35 years I have tiled more that 5000 fiberglass units. That includes, shower pans, showers, spas, swimming pools and fountains. I don't know how to post photos here or I would show you all tiled fiberglass showers and spas.

RE: Roof issue on Allegro: What the heck am I looking at?

That's a beautiful install Mike. Perhaps you should consider reroofing as your new occupation.

Onan RV 4000

I replaced my Onan RV 4000. I have no complaints. The old one gave me many thousands of usage hours. The 50 hour break in oil change is due. I'm thinking about using 10-30 full synthetic oil. Does anyone have a comment on this subject? Thanks
