Directv genie

Anyone have the Genie HD system. We have an RV lot in Fla. and can have a permaneant dish. So we can use an HD dish there but can I use my SD dish on the Moho to run HD DVR in SD mode. I have mutiple coax cables to three locations. Will I need anyother wiring to use the Genie.

RE: Destination: Myrtle Beach - Suggestions?

Pirateland, Lakwood and Ocean Lakes are next too each other in Surfside (just south of the airport. All are nice parks. We had a permanent site in Pirateland. Indoor pool and larger sites were the reason we liked Pirateland the best. My favorite eating place is River City Cafe in Murrels Inlet. When you walk in the impression is what a dive but great food. We tried several other River City Cafes in Myrtle Beach (I believe 4) but non is as good as the Murrels Inlet location. Lots of great eating places. Drunkin Jacks has the best hush puppies. T-bones on business 17 Murrels Inlet has great ribs. Pick up one of each of the adversiment booklets. They have lots of discount coupons. We now use Briarcliff RV park when staying in MB. Nice park next door to Barefoot Landing. Within a few miles is Alabama Theater, Carolina Opry, Dolly Parton Dinner Theater and Tanger Outlets. Wednesday evenings the House of Blues has two for one dinners. I could go on and on. We had our park model in Pirateland for 6 years so we sampled quite a lot of restaurants. Personal opinion Carolina Opry has the best show but Alabama's shows are great. Weather wise you could have highs of 70's or 40's but if your there for a few weeks you will get some great weather compared to MD.

Best route

I would like opinions on Carlisle Pa. to Fl. I have always gone 81 to 66 to 17 to 95. I checked and 81 to 77 to 95 is within 10 mile of my normal route. I have two concerns. I know there is some rarher steep mountains in Va. but not sure about 77. Also are camp ground open in Va./NC this time of year?

RE: Halon Fire extinguisher for Norcold 1200 Fridge

I mounted mine with the cage facing away from the stack. Figuring will still trigger incase of a fire but no chance of a false activation. Mine will trigger at 165 degrees. Only a difference 6". I have since installed a residentual frig.

RE: Ready to buy Honda Fit for dinghy..advice?

Love the Fit. I don't know it's back there. The Fit is very comfortable for a small car. I have had two folding lounge chairs, two folding bicycles, three play pen cages for our dog, car cover and a few other smaller items in the back of the fit. Now I did have the back seats down. I have got as high as 41 mpg on the interstate at 65 mph and average 34. Also four people ride comfortably.

RE: E20 Diesel Fuel

If B20 is anything like E20 get an enzym based additive to keep the ethenol from distroying yo0ur fuel system. Had a problem with my Mantis tiller and had to have the carb rebuilt. The tech said an enzym based additive is the only thing that will counteract the ethenol. I now add it to all my gas. My generator needed the carb rebuilt and now I wonder could it have been the ethanol? Stabil will not help.

RE: New Vizio 32 inch LED TV

Are you sure you don't have an antenna and a cable input. If so you'll need a splitter to make the single coax into two cables.

RE: Help we can't get lever jacks to go up or down

The jacks will not respond until you reset the alarm. Press the front, rear, left and right all at once to clear the alarm. It is a PITA trying to get them all pressed simultaniously but that is the method. There is good information on the Power Gear web site.

RE: How much Brakes does a gasser have?

Checkout Brake Guard HD400. I had this installed and Immediatly felt the difference and the stopping distance was drastically reduced. My wife even noticed and she rides in the back.

RE: Install TV

I got a Moryde mount that slides out and then the TV tilts down. I believe it is a TV40 010. Great unit and is very solid. Thanks for all the information. I'm thinking of getting another one for an outside bin.

Install TV

Some time ago someone installed a tv in a storage bin. As I recall they used a system that was like a garage door bracket. I would like some information. I'm installing a tv in a cabinet and would like to have it store by sliding up and into the cabinet.

RE: How much Brakes does a gasser have?

Checkout Brake guard. I had them installed on my 2008 F53 Southwind and the results were amazing. The stopping was smooth and an easy pedal. The braking is not as good but very close to air brakes. Added benefit is the brakes last a lot longer. I mentioned (on this forum) the results for the Brake Guard a few months ago and was crusified. It seems everyones gasser stopped on a dime with little pedal pressure.

RE: Where to get Onan Generator serviced without paying $1000.

Michelb What was the precedure for proper cleaning. My 5500 will start after priming but only run for 10-40 seconds and then shuts down. I'm sure the carb needed rebuilt but if I could clean it without tearing the carb apart I wouldn'y need a rebuild kit. My local small engine shop and local NAPA store can not get a kit for the Onan. For the gen experts I removed the gas line and attached an auxiliary tank and the gen would still only run a short time. Just like it was running out of gas. I allowed the gen to sit for several months without starting and that is why I think the carg needs rebuilt.
