Scam is a strong word. How could this be a scam, "But the scam is found page 36, section 2. subsection e: max $500 per item."
Rather than a scam I would call it lack of knowledge by the policy holder.
I'm probably in the same boat. I'm not certain what coverage I have for personal property with my motorhome insurance.

Mostly no and many only allow a 4 hour stop max. And you always get a truck pulling close and idling for hours. Many truckers think they own large parking spots on the highways.

Not looking to spend a fortune, but any models in the $200-300 range would be helpful.
In that price range, the Garrett Ace 250 is the way to go. It's an excellent detector, easy to use, very reliable, built in the USA, and backed with a good warranty.
Find them new on Amazon for $212.00 - Garrett Ace 250
I have one and have found everything from diamond rings to civil war bullets to lost screws near a job site.

Are those observed numbers from your alternator? Some how I doubt it.
Actually, I have a 145 amp alternator.
145 amps x 13.8 v = 2001 AMPS.

Are you certain that isn't the 10 Worse States to Retire To list??
South Dakota, Mississippi, West Virginia, Nebraska, North Dakota? Who would want to retire and move to these states?
I've seen so many of these "10 best states" lists that I think all 50 states have been on at least one list!

Did you register your credit card with Michelin yet? If yes, then when you find the dealer, call them and give them your FMCA member# and the last 4 numbers of your CC. Also, the tire size you need. They will order the tires and call you with an install date. You will be billed by Michelin and pay the dealer direct for the install.

I paid my dealer nothing. I received one bill that included all charges and that was direct from Michelin Fleet Service Buyer Plan. Then Michelin charged my credit card of record. This was at least a week after I had the tires installed.
If you paid your dealer for installation there is a possibility you also paid Michelin. Which means you paid twice.

A 100amp vehicle alternator will charge a battery much, much, much faster than a solar panel. 100amps X 13.8v = 1380 watts. 13.8 times the charging ability of a 100w solar panel.
Not to mention, if it's cloudy or at night a solar panel would never charge the battery.
Most pickup trucks have a space, under the hood, for a second battery. I would also keep a second battery there using a battery isolator to separate the main truck starting battery and the aux. Your truck may have this isolator built in already.

Tom,
I agree that is what we have been told by the RV makers, but...is it because it is easier and cheaper to do it that way?? I know there are many very good fibrelass boat hulls that take a beating in the ocean - and they are one-piece hulls, not a bunch of panels stuck together. Is there an engineer among us for some enlightenment??
The difference between a fiberglass boat and an RV is that the fiberglass on an RV is mounted to a steel or aluminum frame. The steel frame and the fiberglass panels have to work together. Lock the fiberglass in one piece and something has to give. It isn't going to be the frame.

I think the caps, roof and sidewalls are separate pieces because of flexing. Bonding them together may create some problems.
