Yellowstone specifics

Planning another trip and would like to know about campgrounds within park especially on northern side. Camped one night at Fishing Bridge before moving to Bay Bridge. The park is long overdue for some re-engineering of sites to accomodate RVs of today but we all know that ain't gonna' happen. Really prefer park over commercial CG but need info to make wise decision. Appreciate all responses.

RE: Glacier NP was beautiful today!

We & friends are looking to go to GNP either next summer or in 11. Nothing like planning ahead, huh? So good to read all this. Sounds just heavenly. So far our favorite place is RMNP; we were there this summer again. I will look forward to reading more.

RE: Please Go

Absolutely!! For a long time I wanted to go to Gettysburg. In 2007 we had a trip planned that was OK but not really terribly excited about it other than we would be on the road. Decided since gas was beginning its upward move that we would stay closer to home and go to G'burg in 08. In spite of the fact that gas was by then $4 a gallon I kept saying "it won't get any cheaper" (so much for my prognositcation skills). Still we don't regret taking the trip. Went to VA first and had an absolutely grand time with friends and then on to G'burg. Truly a trip of a life time. Who knows if we will ever have that opportunity again. With things being what they are we will not retire as we had hoped but fortunately we both have jobs we really like so makes it easier to bear. Also we have been at our jobs long enough to have lots of time off so we can still take trips we want to take.

RE: Is it July yet???

I just made our reservation for site C230 in Moraine Campground in Rocky Mtn NP for a week in July. Best site in the whole world. Course I haven't seen the whole world but you know. Not sure where we go for the other week. Probably Durango.
Once the holidays are over we in Texas expect to be on the road or at the beach the next week. We forget winter hasn't even really begun yet. Took the 5r out over NY and had a wonderful time. My dad was ill and passed away at T'giving so we had not been out in over 4 months. Was nice to get back to it again. I know my Dad was smiling.
