RE: Navistar RV is gone.......Hello new owners

I sincerly hope this means the new line will look more like an RV than an OTR truck. Ron The New Look is one of the things we really like about the new Monaco's, it's refreshing to see something that has a distinguished and different look.

RE: We start fulltiming tomorrow April 30

Once again thanks everyone, after the first 10 nights we have been through temps ranginging from 10 above to the high 80s. We're still working on getting everything sorted out, but so far it's been great other than a couple of nights with some crazy windstorms

RE: My wife can't decide, Please Help

Have had both, while we really like the storage a booth has, we prefer the openess and flexibility of table and chairs.

RE: We start fulltiming tomorrow April 30

Thanks for the well wishes everyone, our first night in the coach was super comfortable, the temps did drop to the mid teens, and the gennie got a bit of a workout but it was all good.

RE: We start fulltiming tomorrow April 30

Just wondering how are you planning to FT? Will you stay in Canada or leave for your up to six months (is that correct even?) We live in Northern MN and just pulled in today from Missouri after the 22 inches of snow they got a week ago (in Minnesota) just melted. I know many places in Canada are much warmer then MN, but Alberta I don't think is one of them. Good luck, and safe travels. Thanks, We definitely plan on spending the winters down south.

We start fulltiming tomorrow April 30

Well our adventure starts tomorrow, our first night will have to spent at the local Walmart, with a forecast high of 34f and overnite temps dropping to the mid teens.:( That should be a good test for the new coach. We're off to the Drumheller, Alberta on Wednesday May 1 when the campgrounds open, at least the temps are suppose to warm up into the 60s for the rest of the week. Oh well it should be a memorable start to our new lifestyle:)

Took it in to have a Safe-T-Plus steering setup done. After that we kept moving more of our stuff in, to get ready to hit the road.

RE: Final Garage Sale!

Just had our final garage sale, the rest goes to Amvets, what a liberating and insightful journey this has been so far. Let me just say, the amount of people who offer twenty-five cents for an item is ridiculous! I understand trying to get a bargain, but really? Anyways... 11 days and counting! Congrat's on getting rid of everything, know what you mean about the folks that come to garage sale's, they can sure test a person's patience. If your down to 11 days, I know your getting excited, we're down to 4 know, so I know howmya feel.

RE: What is the best GPS for Full timing

We're about to start fulltiming, but really like to use our Magellan 9165T. Has mainy of the campsites listed in it, you can set it up to find rest stops as you travel. You can set Walmarts as POI Pilot Flying J as a POI Find it easy to see and use especially with that big 7" screen

RE: Norcold refer on '06 Bus not getting cold enough

bob b.....Your refer will never be great. I'm guessing that you have the LRIM1200 4 door. I've messed with mine now for the last five years and can keep it at 32 degrees by doing certain things. -First, the temp selector is useless anywhere above #6. Set the refer at #5 and this will give you your best cooling. -Second, the thermisters (clip on cooling fin)on these occasionally need to be replaced. Each time mine started acting up, I would replace the thermister. Norcold has two thermisters which many people are not aware of. The model of the thermister is determined by the serial number of your Norcold. The thermister is about $25.00 and is a cheap repair before spending money at a repair shop. Many shops will test the thermister and say they're good. I don't believe they can be accurately tested. -Third, There is room at the back of the refer, via the outside door, to install two compouter fans, a 3" and 5". I leave this running 24/7 when the refer is on. Mine will only keep ice cream hard if it has been in there for several dys (doesn't make sense), but keeps everything else frozen and makes ice like crazy. In cool weather, my refer will drop to 28 degrees. In warm weather it will be between 32-34 degrees. In hot weather, it hits 36-38. I carefully pack mine so there is very little on the top shelf and air flow inside. After all the above, I have a Samsung residential refer in my garage which I'll install next month.quote] Now that makes perfect sense Don;)

RE: Length, length, maybe not.

I think two bathrooms is silly in a class A. I mean really, if I had the whole crew (all 6 of us) it would be handy, but just the two us don't need two bathrooms. Half the new coaches this year have a bath and a half. For us having the two baths is a must have especially since we'll be living in ours. The size and space of the rear bath make it worthwhile for us. Oh yeah, having a dance floor in the middle of the coach is nice too:B
