RE: Use of motorcycle lift on motorhome

We have a Cruiserlift on the rear of our Allegro Bus and always use a standard Harley cover..Wife made a cover for the windshield and we found the cover would rub on the passenger back rest.. so made a cover for that..She also extended the strap on the cover.. so we have plenty of room to get it under the bike and snugged up...Works great for us.. The bike gets detailed often and I would have noticed any rubs or wear....so far so good.. at the first sign of a rub.. we will make a new cover for that area.. or take the cover OFF.

RE: "Nasty attitude" on RV.net

Kit and Kathy,
It is not that I am not considerate of others.. Like I said.. this was just an observation....Seems lots of folks agree that the attitude here is going downhill...from some..
I wonder how most of the other sites.. seem to control this and keep an upbeat, positve attitude???? Something for YOU to consider.

"Nasty attitude" on RV.net

Over the years I have spent a great deal of time on RV websites.. including RV.net.........but for the past year.. I have not been on RV.net that often....
Today as I browsed thru the Class A posts on RV.net.. it was very evident the bad attitude.. and Smart _ _ _ remarks and attitude's the appear all too frequently. I wonder why that is???
As an example.. on the Tiffin website.... there are often very strong differences of opinion.. but somehow the comments are always "polite". Same on the Escapee website...
Just my observation.... and from what I am reading on RV.net.... I am sure this will get some nasty comments...
This post is not ment as a criticism..........just an observation.

RE: how long can I be?

I am not sure a double tow is the best idea for touring.. we had the same decision to make. We have a 40' Allgro Bus and installed a Crusierlift on the rear for our Harley and tow a full size 4WD pick-up.. ( and yes we weighed the mh first to make sure it would take the weight).. works great for us. Cruiserlift is easy to load and unload..

Dometic Duo-therm A/C unit- Control board

Looks like we need to have the control board/circuit board..replaced on our Dometic Duo-therm. Penguin Low profile A/C unit. Thinking of doing it myself..Has anybody any experience replacing this unit? I have it located..looks like lots of wires in front of it..and I know enough to ID the wires I unplug from it.. but does it snap in? screw in? Is it just a matter of pushing the wires in front out of the way?
Any help on this change out.. appreciated.
( Already diagnosed...but the basic problem.. is the unit cools fine.. but has a mind of its own.. shutting off and on.. fans up and down.. sometimes comes on sometimes not.. but not struggling to start..and cools fine.. once it is on.. I switched control board to work from zone 3 instead of 1.. and it seemed to work fine for a day or two..now back to being "stupid" again)

RE: Is the brake away really need on the Ready Brake?

" I'll take my chances on the toad breaking away"??? Are you kidding.. YOU are not the one taking the chance.. it is other traffic on the road. Those safety chains can not keep you attached in all situations. Do us all a favor and put the break away switch on.

After two years of volunteering for the USFS in a remote area of the Colorado Rockies...we will be unable to volunteer again this year. If anybody is intersted in a June thru August..volunteer position. Free site, full hookups, not much real work... let us know and we can hook you up with the USFS people. This was a GREAT situation.
