RE: Claiming a first come campsite
I have several friends that "claim" sites like this all the time. Thee have a small pup tent and two cheap chairs that they leave at the site. One guy even has solar powered small latern that comes on when it's dark that he leaves by the side of the tent. The only time he does this is when it is a free site. If he can pay for the site several days in advance, it's his and I have to agree with that tactic. He gets the site he wants for the weekend and the park gets revenue that they normally would not have gotten because of their no-reservation policy. This is especially rampant in Oklahoma state parks.

We are heading out this Wednesday from Dallas to go to Stone Mountain. We expect to get there on Friday and will be there all through next week. We will be in site 327 so stop by and say hello. Hopefully, we will not be the ones with 8" of boards on one side. :)

Water pump on 12V
When I'm plugged into shore power the water pump switch will light up when I turn it on. When I am not plugged in it will not work. Fuses appear to be OK. Suggestions?

RE: Are we all on the darkside?
I first heard the term used significantly when people were upgrading from tents and popups and HTT to RV's without any tenting (TT,5W, TH, CLASS C and A's). Always thought it was a reference to not having tenting any more which lets in more light than hard sided RV's.
Same here. We had a tent but did not move to the darkside when we got our first popup because that's basically a tent on a wheeled platform with conveniences. When we went from our 2nd popup to the first 5th wheel it was definitely going to the darkside because no light actually comes into the bedroom in the trailer with shades drawn. We also felt that it was changing from "camping" to "RVing".

Have you had any problem with the LED strip sticking to the vinyl? I did, so I sprayed the strip with clear lacquer and have not had a problem since.

There is a new way to handle something like this call Curbit. Curbit is when you take something and is unfixable and put it at the curb. It will vanish within 1 hour. Just curbit. It's not worth the trouble. :)

Cell reception at Stone Mountain
Can anyone tell me how cell reception is at Stone Mountain campground? I don't care too much about satellite reception but it would be good to be able to get on line with my aircard. Thanks.

I was never a Legos fan so I don't see the attraction of LL. I carry 2 2x8's that are 4 ft long and 1 1x8 that's the same length. This has worked for me in every situation for the past 8 years. The Lynx blocks are fine I'm sure but to take them out, stack them up and line them up right takes about 4x the time to drop one board in place.
And to the guy that has 80 LL? Really? Why?

Here are a couple of pictures of the recliners we got from La-Z-Boy. They are reclinaways so they do not need to be moved out further from the wall than what you see here. They do not move at all while traveling and were very easy to put in the trailer since the backs come off.

That all depends on the paperwork you signed for your loan. Every loan statement has a payment amount and start date.
