RE: Natchez MS RV parks

**** of the Walk is a person that struts his stuff like he owns the world. A rooster.... On edit, I can see this is an automatic deletion by the self-righteous.

RE: Oil Prices Nosedive: Good News at the Pump

$1.77 for 87 octane is Rockwall, TX. Diesel is $1.83 in the same area.

RE: Powerball, now 1.3 BILLION!

I think my RVing days would be over if I won that much money. Private jets would be my new means of travel around the world.

RE: West Texas Whippin'

We've made that same drive. We stop at Monahans Sandhills State Park just past Odessa. W/E sites and no sewer but for an overnight stop it's a great place, especially if you are lucky to hit a moonlit night like we did. Very quiet place and beautiful day or night.

RE: Looking for inspector in the Denton / Weatherford, TX area

There is a Camping World just north of Denton on I-35.

RE: Grand Canyon trailer village RV campground

Here is a LINK TO PICS of the Grand Canyon RV campground. Like others said, the shuttle will take you anywhere you want to go and picks you up right at the gate to the campground. You will see Elk wandering around the edges of the campground also. I would think 3 days there would be enough. Once you have seen the views from the canyon rim, you realize it looks the same from everywhere. :)

RE: How many of you subscribe to ...

I get it but when my subscription runs out I'm not going to bother renewing it. Much more relevant information on websites like this one.

RE: 6 people killed in Texas campsite attack

Does this have anything at all to do with camping?

RE: Clunking noise

It is the pin moving in the hitch coupler. Go to any RV parts store and get a Teflon ring that goes around the pin. Problem solved.

RE: Caddo Lake State Park

If you look at a park map Woodpecker Hollow is our choice since they are all pull through sites. It's our favorite area since the sites are easy to get into and out of. Here is a list of our favorite sites in order of preference... 24, 23, 22, 25. That is based on shade (plenty of it) and room to tie out two dogs. Here's a link to an album of pictures from the park and the surrounding area... CADDO LAKE PICS

RE: Surge protector remote display

I have only one remote display. The wire is what came with the unit when I ordered it. The display was working a few days ago and now it is not.

RE: Love them assemblers

That round piece was probably from a hole saw used to install a tank rinser.

Surge protector remote display

I have a hardwired Progressive EMS-HW50C surge protector with a remote display. Recently the remote display stopped working so I checked both ends of the cable from the EMS-HW50C to the display and they both appear to be fine. I have not driven any screws or drilled any holes in the wall where the cable runs. Any ideas?

RE: Lake Mineral Wells State Park

Here is a link to an album of pictures from the last time we were at Mineral Wells SP. Make sure you get a site in the lower loop and any of those would easily hold a trailer of your size. We loved the waterfront sites. Mineral Wells SP pics By the way, we live in Rockwall as well just a couple of blocks from Nebbie Williams school, just north of The Shores. You might also want to check out the North Texas Camping Association (NTXCA) which is a family oriented camping club that has monthly campouts. They also have a Yahoo group which is their main site. This weekend they have 30 families at Beavers Bend SP in Oklahoma.

RE: Safe Campsite in New Orleans

Here is another vote for Bayou Segnette SP. Take a look at this album of pictures I took there and it will give you a good view of what the campsites are like. Bayou Signette pics
