RE: 6 people killed in Texas campsite attack

Does this have anything at all to do with camping?

RE: Clunking noise

It is the pin moving in the hitch coupler. Go to any RV parts store and get a Teflon ring that goes around the pin. Problem solved.

RE: Caddo Lake State Park

If you look at a park map Woodpecker Hollow is our choice since they are all pull through sites. It's our favorite area since the sites are easy to get into and out of. Here is a list of our favorite sites in order of preference... 24, 23, 22, 25. That is based on shade (plenty of it) and room to tie out two dogs. Here's a link to an album of pictures from the park and the surrounding area... CADDO LAKE PICS

RE: Surge protector remote display

I have only one remote display. The wire is what came with the unit when I ordered it. The display was working a few days ago and now it is not.

RE: Love them assemblers

That round piece was probably from a hole saw used to install a tank rinser.

Surge protector remote display

I have a hardwired Progressive EMS-HW50C surge protector with a remote display. Recently the remote display stopped working so I checked both ends of the cable from the EMS-HW50C to the display and they both appear to be fine. I have not driven any screws or drilled any holes in the wall where the cable runs. Any ideas?

RE: Lake Mineral Wells State Park

Here is a link to an album of pictures from the last time we were at Mineral Wells SP. Make sure you get a site in the lower loop and any of those would easily hold a trailer of your size. We loved the waterfront sites. Mineral Wells SP pics By the way, we live in Rockwall as well just a couple of blocks from Nebbie Williams school, just north of The Shores. You might also want to check out the North Texas Camping Association (NTXCA) which is a family oriented camping club that has monthly campouts. They also have a Yahoo group which is their main site. This weekend they have 30 families at Beavers Bend SP in Oklahoma.

RE: Safe Campsite in New Orleans

Here is another vote for Bayou Segnette SP. Take a look at this album of pictures I took there and it will give you a good view of what the campsites are like. Bayou Signette pics

RE: DeGray lake & Aux Arc

The two COE parks on DeGray lake are nothing special. Sites are pretty close together with little vegetation between them. DeGray Lake SP is very nice with lots of shade, excellent campsites. You would have no trouble getting into any of them. I would recommend trying to get sites 75-80. Big, roomy with nice lake views.

RE: Vicksburg MS

We stayed at Rivertown a couple of years ago. I have some pictures of the RV park in an album about Vicksburg. Check it out. Rivertown RV park

Here is a link to pictures I took around Tannehill a couple of years ago. We had no trouble at all getting a campsite on a Friday afternoon in September. TANNEHILL PICS

RE: Trailer Life subscription

I agree that the internet has far more info than Trailer Life. I'm not going to renew my subscription.

RE: Stuck on frwy due to accident ahead. Let others use toilet?

The original poster, Sir Lancelot, has only one post and this is it. Does that tell you anything?

RE: Got my Sailuns installed (Great Price)

After 5 1/2 years of good service from my G614s it was time for some new tires. Best price I could find for 4 tires installed was $1356 from Discount Tire which was about the same as I paid when I put them on my trailer way back when. I read a lot of reviews of the 614s vs the Sailun S637s and decided to price them out. $600.18 to have them installed and balanced with high pressure stems. This was from NTB locally. Since the reviews were so good for these tires it was a no brainer for me. Hopefully it was a good decision

RE: Palo Duro canyon area campground

Palo Duro Canyon SP for sure. You will have no trouble getting your motorhome down into the canyon and the views are amazing. Try to get a site way out in the end of the park in the Mesquite loop. Take a look at my signature photolink and you will find an entire album of pictures of the park, one of the best in TX.

RE: Electric service at Waco Airport Park (Corps of Engineers)

Here is a link to an album of pictures for Airport Park that show campsite numbers. You will have no problem with electric. The 50A sites also have a plug for 30A and 20A. Airport Park pics

RE: Storage Shelter Etiquette

We keep small orange cones in our covered storage slot to help line up when backing in. They just sit on the back wall. One time when returning from a trip one of our neighbors a few slots down was using the cones while they backed in. Embarrassing for them I guess but we both had a good laugh about it. What are the odds of that bit of timing?
