RE: Lake Texoma, Eisenhower State Park

You might also check out Burns Run West just across the border in Oklahoma. That park and Burns Run East are COE parks where you can select a specific site. I have a full album of pictures for the West campground if you look in my Photolink.

Welcome to redneck America

Just as we were pulling out of DeGray Lake SP campground we passed a couple cleaning fish at their site. The guy had a bass hung on the lantern hook and was gutting it onto the ground. The woman had another bass on the picnic table trying to kill it as it flopped around.

RE: Crossing border from Canada to USA

......As I was sitting there in line, I saw an RV owner off to the side while customs officials finished removing everything out of it that wasn't welded down. He was clean, but had to put everything back by himself..... How long were you sitting there that you knew all this?

RE: Zion vs. Bryce campgrounds

We liked Bryce better than Zion. We spent 3 days at each park and did a lot of hiking. Take a look at my signature photolink for albums of each place. Hiking down in the bottom of Bryce is just unbelievable with all the formations.

RE: Candles in RV?

I have a framed picture of a burning candle that I sit on the dinette table. I thought that was safe until someone told me I could break the glass in the frame and possible cut my hand. So to avoid that I now wear leather gloves while I am in the RV.

RE: Pickup bed step

We use this from Bully: Side step One on each side of the truck. Works great.

RE: Palo Duro Canyon State Park - Texas

I have a full album of pictures of Palo Duro Canyon SP. Click on my PHOTOLINK and scroll through the places we've been to find Palo Duro. I would think a week there is be enough to see everything in the area. I would highly recommend the Mesquite camping area as to a good view from campsites and be sure to take the 3 mile hike out to the lighthouse formation. Be sure to take a ride out to Cadillac Ranch. Bring spray paint. :)

RE: What are you pulling with you 3//4 diesel truck?

I'm sorry, I guess I completely misunderstood your comments. In that case, you are correct in all the things you say. Just ignore the large group of us that have a different opinion with the proof to back it up.

RE: What are you pulling with you 3//4 diesel truck?

We pull our 2010 3400RL with a 2004 Chevy 2500HD diesel/duramax. Been 4 years, over 30K miles, no problems. Thanks, you too prove my point. I give . I will leave you 3/4 enthusiasts to pulling your 15,500 GVWR fifth wheels. Good luck Glad to see all these people proving your point for you. Happy we could help you out and set you on the straight and narrow with a better understanding of all this.

RE: New Over The Tanks Bike Rack on The Front of TT

I really like the design of this rack and I am very tempted to build one myself, but I am concerned about how it would impact gas mileage. I'd be interested to know if you see any gas mileage degradation from that rack since it puts the bikes in front of the "aerodynamic" front end of your trailer. Aerodynamic like a big brick.

RE: What is this world coming to?

Here's another Texan vote for Blue Bell made locally in Brenham, TX! As a matter of fact we're going to take the factory tour in a few weeks so we can get down on one knee and pay homage to the best ice cream anywhere.

RE: Electrical Fire -- WARNING TO KEYSTONE OWNERS

You said you pulled out the wires that went from the battery to the circuit panel. A direct line? Then you mentioned wires going to the fuses between the battery and the circuit panel. Which is it? The same line?

RE: Back when camping was camping

When we got married our honeymoon with a 4 week tent camping trip that went from NJ down to Carlsbad Caverns in NM and then up through 5 national parks in the west and back to NJ. We did this in a 1979 MGB convertible. We still say it was the best trip we ever did.

They used to tell Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell how their inventions probably would not work. Keep up with the good ideas that work for you.
