RE: Salt Lake and Heading North?

The KOA in Salt Lake City is a great place to spend the night, lots of grass and shade. The Cowboy RV Park in Pocatello, Idaho, is also a very nice park to spend the night. Then go east to avoid the high passes and turn north to Colter Bay RV Park in Grand Teton National Park followed by Fishing Bridge RV Campground in Yellowstone National Park. Have a great trip.

RE: Disney tickets for Anaheim.

I went to Costco in Goleta, California, today. They did not have any Disneyland tickets. I don't know if other Costco stores do have them.

Cachuma Lake County Park just above Santa Barbara and Ocean Mesa RV Park just north of Santa Barbara are two that come to mind.

RE: Disney tickets for Anaheim.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Disneyland park hopper tickets at Costco. I think it was $25 off per ticket and an additional $25 gift card for Costco. It was the best deal I found. Have a great trip.

RE: First ever trip - please comment on our park choices

We liked the KOA in Nashville. It will have plenty of sites for a rig your size. Have a great trip.

RE: Tetons/Yellowstone/Glacier

We prefer campgrounds with hookups. Colter Bay RV Campground in Teton National Park, Fishing Bridge RV Campground in Yellowstone, and the KOA in West Glacier. Have a great trip.

RE: Trout fishing in CO in July/August

We have a favorite trout fishing spot in Colorado, but we just can't tell you about it. Too many folks already know.

RE: I-5 or CA99?

We travel I-5 a whole lot and the 99 every now and then. The I-5 is smoother and easier to drive, but has more traffic. The I-5 is not smooth at all in Stockton, it is downright rough.

RE: Where to Stay Along the Way: So Cal to Portland, OR

Prairie Creek State Park north of Eureka would be a great place to stop for a couple nights to see the red woods and the elk. Have a great trip.

RE: Suggestion for CG in Dawson Creek, BC

When we drove to Alaska in 2009 we spent two nights at the Northern Lights RV Park. We did not like it at all. We are leaving for Alaska at the end of this month. We have reservations at the Mile 0 RV Park. Have a great trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Spruce Lake RV Park in Estes Park, Colorado. No problem for a rig of your size.

RE: The Vines RV Resort??

I think this rv park may be a brand new one located on US 101 just north of Paso Robles, California. If this is the park some of the sites are less than a 100 feet or so from the 101. I went to their web site, but could not be sure this is the new park. Maybe Google maps can show you more.

RE: Fishing Bridge in Yellowstone

We stayed at Fishing Bridge RV Campground late last August. There was no Verizon cell service in the campground, but we were able to drive a few miles west and get good service. Have a great trip.

RE: RV Park Website lies rant

I agree with much of what you are saying and would add that I have seen many web and print advertising photos that inaccurately depict an rv park. The photo shows one small part of the park from a flattering angle while the rest of the park is a run down shambles. I think we would both admit that there are many rv parks that are very honest in their advertising. It is those few bad apples that need to be properly reviewed.

RE: Need replacement Thetford lid--update with pics

I bought a replacement seat/lid for the fifth wheel and later the motorhome. Both same brand and made of wood and they are much better that the plastic originals. Got them at Home Depot or Lowe's, but can't recall the brand.

RE: Blind spots & washing your RV

As soon as I get close to the fuel island my CEO/Navigator gets out to provide a second set of eyes to insure I don't take out any pumps, vehicles, or pedestrians.

RE: What is the best Tow/Brake set up for a Towed Vehicle?

We have been very pleased with our Blue Ox Aventa tow bar and base plate and the SMI Stay in Play braking system. All professionally installed by a Blue Ox dealer.
