RE: Need or want?

We did the tent thing in our younger days, roughing it, but no more....Here in SC we have very nice State Parks and most all have electric and water and a place to dump. Few around have E/W/S (something rare we've never stayed where they are at). It just gets way too hot in the summer not to have the electric to run air at night so you can sleep. I've even seen tents with an a/c stuck in them. So yeah I want and need the electricity and the water is a PLUS....

Any 49er fans out there?

I was able to check off (bucket list) seeing my 49ers play last Sunday in Atlanta. Being a fan of theirs since 1972 never had seen them play in person. I was surprised at the number of 49er fans there, yes, we were out numbered by Falcon Fans. Let me tell you I had so much fun (was just my daughter and me, hubby stayed home) That last couple of minutes of the game, don't think my heart could have taken much more! Soooo now I'm hoping the Niners will take home number 6 trophy!!!!

49er Bucket List

I am on cloud nine right now....got a call from younger daughter, let's go see the 49ers play in Atlanta...closest we'll ever get to see them Mom, chance of a life time.....Been a fan since 1971 (while living in Georgia, just happen that day a friend was watching 49er/Cowboy game I chose the Niners to win, they did)....Never dreamed I'd live in Sacramento a year later (actually lived there twice) cause of Uncle Sam's Air Force, never got to see them and Joe Montana play in person @ Candle Stick Park. Well guys I'm getting to check off seeing the SF49er play IN PERSON she got us tickets...OMG I'm SO EXCITED!! UMA

RE: Best route to Charleston

Unless you want to see backwoods, exit I-26E. The interstate basically ends at Charleston.

RE: The RVs in your life

We were tent campers too, youngest daughter went camping the first time at when she was 6 weeks old, even snowed that weekend. She's now 36 (hate to say that OMG) But getting back to the subject we just bought our first RV in 06, she's paid for so don't look to get anything new.

RE: Can't find an eletric bed warmer that actually gets warm!

Have any of you checked out a down comforter? When we were stationed in Germany, our first experience with one was at a guest house, was not planning to be there but because of it snowing like crazy we had to get off the roads, when we were shown to our room we were surprised that they don't heat the rooms you're in. Us and our two small kids at the time, were so cold we all jumped into that big old bed....burrrrr we thought we're gonna freeze to death, even left our street clothes on thinking that we're never gonna be warm. Well needless to say in no time we were down to our undies because that down comforter was so warm...Later on, while still being in Germany, one of my best friends was from France, so we were able to go to her Mom's home for some weekends visits, that's when we found out about feather beds too....So check into the feathers. I do keep our DC in the RV when we camp in the cold. There is different ratings for them so read the labels. Hope this helps you.....

RE: If you had a fully loaded RV where would you travel to?

Wish I could head to Hawaii, that would take a mighty long bridge;)

RE: Wateree State Park SC

Wateree has become one of my husband's favorite SC State Parks. Good for just quiet, our phones don't work at campsite but did at the ranger/store. Nice bathhouses. The sites are all paved as well as the road around the sites so a plus is it's not dusty when traffic is passing by. Our granddaughter's love it cause they can ride their bikes easier. I think if you don't mind hearing boats flying by get a site near the water, alot of folks fish. We like being away from the water's edge. We do ride our bikes and we also like to hike around the paths. If you want to eat out or go into "town" nothing close by, the park is for a campfire and your own eats.......

RE: Getting the wife to drive

I have said again and again....ladies YOU need to learn how....drove down to the beach last weekend (2 1/2 hours both ways)and I drove coming and going......I like the looks I get wheeling the truck and RV. Besides it gives the hubby a chance to catch up on his sleep. (Even had our twin granddaughter with us too, Uma has to show them they can do anything!:B)

RE: What do you do when ----

this reminds me of a video I seen just last week on You Tube showing a 5th wheel being torn up going slowly under a low bridge. The person was making fun of the fact that if it slowly "sneaked up" to the bridge it would make it.....I'd never chance it........

RE: Question For Outdoor Kitchen Owners...

We looked at them but alot of the places we camp would make it out of reach for us (too high up). So we'll just keep the one kitchen. Good idea.
