RE: Birds !!!
We placed a plastic owl on my car and the bird just used it for a perch. We now have plastic bags over the mirrors on the MH and the cars. The birds still land there but at least it is going on the bags. THis is the first year we have had this problem. Hope they go away soon!

We have been at Ocean Lakes since last Sun. We stop at Ocean Lakes every spring on our way back home. I have been coming to Myrtle Beach since I was a child. This is the coldest and most windy it has ever been while we have been here. I just looked at the forecast for this week and it looks like maybe Thurs. will be a little better. If we didn't have friends here, we would have already left.

RE: The snowbirds are heading north today
We head north on APril 7th, but take our time and don't actually get to Va. until May 12th with several stops along the way. We are currently in Tampa at the campground on Macdill AFB. As soon as a site emptys there is someone waiting to go into it. Too cold to go home yet!

Topeekeegee Yugnee Park is in Hollywood, Fl. It is a city run park with trails around the park, large sites. We enjoyed our stay there.

We have a 2011 Allegro Red and it does have the AC with the heat pump. We spend the winter in Tampa and last night it got down to 45, we can use the heat pump and not have to run the furnace using propane. If you are going to be spending time where it doesn't get below 40 degree, the heat pump is all you will need.
We had a Allegro Bay for 6 years before we bought the Red. The only people who used the driver's side door were the service people who worked on the rig. It is a good safety option.

Towing GMC Terrain
We have a 2011 Tiffin Allegro RED (diesel pusher) and currently tow a 2006 Jeep Liberty with no problems. We would like to upgrade our tow car and have been looking at the GMC Terrain's to flat tow. We currently have the blue Ox towing setup. We had been told previously not to use the drop down tow bar for towing. The front of the Terrain looks low to the ground. We would like some info on the setup to tow this car. Do the connections come through the grill, etc. Any info will be appreciated.

From the Rally Park campground at Lazy Days to:
Busch Gardens 10 miles
Clearwater Beach 35 miles
Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo 12 miles
It is not too hard to get to places from the Rally Park. We spend the winter in Tampa each year.

Congratulations. Very nice coach, we looked at one at the Tiffin rally at Lazydays in Tampa last weekend.
Phaeton will be our next coach. We had an Allegro Bay for 6 years and now have a 2011 Allegro Red.

A week ago we left Key West and came across 41 which is a ride we normally enjoy. When you get closer to Miami there is construction for about 8 miles on 41. Most of it is Ok but they have the road down to one lane in several spots. One area was real close, concrete barriers on one side and the cones placed on the other so there was very little room for error on either side. Just go slow and be careful.

I the wife do the majority of the driving. This started when my husband was still working. He could unwind and look at the scenery going down the road. I am a better driver than rider so this works for us. I do agree both parties should know how to drive and do the setup.

RE: KOA in St Augustine
We stayed at this KOA a few years ago and would not go back. The sites are small, the people in the office at the time were not friendly. Overall not a good experience here. We now stay at North Beach when in the area.

Thanks for the info. We are at Sigsbee and will be here until next Fri. We spend the winter at MacDill. We will probably wait until we are there to have the jack looked at. We have a person who will come to the site and make repairs.

We had an Allegro Bay for 6 years and constantly had this problem. They replaced the solenoid a couple of times, springs on the jack that would come down enough to make the alarm sound. We had this worked on so many times and would think it was fixed for awhile but then it would start again. We now have an Allegro Red and are having problems with the HWH jacks again. Different problem, 2 of the jacks won't retract all the way. If we lower them and put silicone spray on them, so far they will retract. We are not near a service provider since we are currently in Key West but plan on having them serviced soon.
I hope you get your problem resolved easier than we did.

We are currently at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle beach and move to Huntington Beach State Park in Murrell;s inlet Aug. 30 through Sept 7.
Our dog likes it better at Huntington beach, not as many fireworks.
