RE: Kwikee steps will not retract.

Ours wouldn't retract and it turned out to be a simple thing with the magnets. I took a kitchen magnet and held it down next to the sensor and they would retract. Someone in the campground suggested this to us after we had spent about 3 hours trying to get the steps in so we could leave. We had this repaired and then had another problem with the steps and had to have the motor replaced.

RE: WATER FRONT CAMPING

In Florida there are several state parks that have waterfront sites. Bahia Honda in Big Pine Key and Curry Hammock in Marathon. Both are nice state campgrounds.

RE: Anyone know much about dry ice, used in fridge?

We had a power outage in our stick house, so we moved all of our freezer & fridge food to the motorhome and used the generator. We put some dry ice in both areas. When I opened the door to the freezer it about took my breath away. If you use it, don't breath it when you open the door. It did help keep things cool, but I wouldn't use it again. It did last about 3 days.

RE: So glad to be RV'rs during this power outage

We are in ROanoke County and were without power from Fri night until Tues afternoon. Since we are on a well, we did not have water either. We started the generator in the motorhome and moved our freezer & refrigerator out there. We didn't want to use all of our diesel so on Mon. night we bought a generator for the house which we used for one night and the power came on. We should have bought the generator sooner. One lesson we learned from this is to fill our fresh water tanks while we are in Va for the summer, just in case of emergencies. Hope your power is back on soon. We keep having storms everyday and just hold our breath. The storm Fri. night was unlike any we have ever seen. No rain, just straight line winds and lightning.

RE: Need Help Now!

I can't help with your problem, but I feel for you. We are in Va also and have not had power since Fri. night and now AEP says it could be next Sat. before power is retored to parts of ROanoke co. We brought all of our food and put in the MH. We are using the generator so I hope it stays on. Supposed to be 102 today with the possibility of more storms. I hope you get your problem resolved

RE: lafuma zero gravity chair

We are on our 2nd set of LaFuma chairs. The first ones were very comfortable and we used them for 6 years. Those chairs had the padded cushion and it was a pain if they got wet. We now have the black mesh LaFuma chairs which are great. We used them in our screen room at our site the last 2 winters in Fl. They do put you to sleep. We looked at other brands but found nothing to compare to the LaFuma. The chairs do last a long time.
